This puppy gave this mama dog the perfect Mother's Day gift! A new life with a new home. All she did was get them the attention they needed at the right moment as the WA2S Films team was riding by. That's when the Detroit Dog Saviors went to work! Updated for those that have already watched.
As a member of the Detroit Dog Saviors' all volunteer animal rescue coalition, DAWG - Detroit Animal Welfare Group responded to a call from the World Animal Awareness Society's Tom McPhee that a puppy and mama dog were spotted in an abandoned house on Detroit's NW side while conducting and American Strays K9 survey.

SO beautiful, SO scared living in a dangerous environment, it felt like the house was crumbling down with any trash they removed. I´m very happy the loving mom and the adorable puppy were able to live together, safe, warm and cared for....The world needs more of theese compassionate, caring people who rescues and saves dogs, and so does the dogs, BIG TIME !!!

i found a stray maltese and caught him. I ended up falling in love with him and i named him scruffy ( my mom calls him frosty) he was starving, matted, and scared, i may just be a 10 year old girl but thats just proof that anyone at any age can do things like this :) love you guys!!!

I used to help dogs and cats found alone with no food and water and it broke my heart and soul is was so mad at the people who treated all animals like that, and I couldn't wait until the police locked up that person who hurt those animals. If they don't want an animal of any kind then keep going.

That's a really scary place to rescue dogs from. All the debree was loose and could've collapsed, or a nail or large splinter could've gone into someone! Good thing you got to the dogs before anything like that happened.

those poor dogs were homeless with no family untill you save them!!! that warms my heart to know how many people care for dogs like that i have 4 dogs myself and im moving im just a kid yet i will do anything to save a dog or any animal 2 of my 4 dogs are rescues my dog is the oldest yet the smartest my mom's dead boyfriend saved my dog from being put down and before i met him i didn't really care about animals as much but now i do he died almost 6 years ago and that's how long I've lived in the house im in now but im being kicked out anyway am i keeping all of my dogs no... we have to give one up sadly........ but thats OK me and my mom and her friends are looking a home for the dog.... but all of my dogs are the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet!! yeh i gtg before diner gets cold so yeh i'll be there for the next video!!!

Great work you guys! If this is a frequent kind of rescue, maybe bringing some super small people along so they can fit under and about the narrow areas would be helpful.
