Are you commenting on the wrong video? This is about a dog and a person, a pet and the pet owner, means that there is no child and a ''mom'' relation there. Also that dog might have inherited something from the mom, as in the female dog that was pregnant with it which is the one and ONLY mom, that is why it needed some medical help.

Most people would not have the thousands of dollars a surgery like this would cost. Plus, there's no guarantee that it will work long term. I work in rescue, and I've seen people put themselves in deep debt going all out for serious veterinary interventions. In my experience, 9 out of 10 times they rarely work long term, unfortunately.

It was so well advanced that a surgery would most likely have been pointless according to my vet. Still, I vowed never again to have a pet without good pet health insurance coverage.

Some people may not do it out of being tight wads, but most people I think simply just don't have the money they need. I had an MRI done on my dog some years ago and it was a fortune. Not to mention, I had to drive hours away with her to have it done because that was the only closest MRI machine. Thankfully I had the money to do it then, but I'm less financially stable now than I was then so I hope my current dog never has to have an MRI. Or anything else that costs an exorbitant amount.

I worked for a vet when I was in college & know how expensive it is and I saw how many people will NOT do what it takes to save their pet. Unfortunately most of the time it is because they can't afford it and/or don't want to spend that much time saving their pet like this young woman or yourself. I too drove almost an hr to see a specialist for my dog when she had cancer & continued to see him till she died almost a year later. In fact he was such an amazing vet I stayed w/him for my cat until I moved out of state despite the drive.

Same. My rabbit was going through gi stasis the other month and I took him to the vet. They wanted to keep him for a few days and the total was around 3k. People were telling me "you know how many rabbits you can get with 3k?" And I would tell them yeah a lot, but none would be him. The black dog that was with him, I only saw partially the video, was one of the parents right? I do not know if that black one was the mom or dad bcz I some times on animals hard to tell, mostly hard to tell for me, but the animal's parents must have had something medical with them that might have transfered to their young as in that little puppy. The pet owners, including the breeders of course, should really make sure that the parents of the animals are healthy before allowing them to mate.
