@@landoncustomclassics the awning at the ends of the trailer always leave them near the middle of the beds. If you pull the awning out first like you did they could get snagged on a piece of metal and rip either the plastic, the screen or the canvas.

For a $150, you got a good deal. But one thing I did not see you put in I did not see you put in. The safety bars should be 2 of them. At least one on each side Kitty corner. They go on to the the lift post. They are pretty important in case the cable fails. Those safety bars keeps the top from falling down on you.

When I was growing up, my dad bought a new StarCraft pop up. We used that thing so much that at the end of that campers life, my dad used 2, 2x4s , kitty corner on the posts. It worked. 👍🏻😀

I did the same thing with one I purchased for a hundred dollars. The hardest part was getting all four cables to pull at the same time. Also, I removed the tent part and patched the panels. After that I had a good camper. I finally graduated to a motor home for $1000.

That's a steal for $150! It needs work, but nothing that'd stop you from camping in it. The fridge is a bummer, but for the price, you still couldn't beat it. We love our pop-up as it's still small and light, but offers sleeping room and is much more comfortable than tent camping. I hope you make a few memories in it before you figure out if you want to sell it or keep it.

I owned a Older Large Popup camper for years, Loved it, I did install a small window unit Air Conditioner in rear that worked great. I also had to have all the cables/pulleys replaced and Dealer told me to cut some 2x2's to put at each corner when top was at full extension to keep load off Cables so I always did this, never had anymore problems with cables or Pulleys. Mine had the Swing Out Kitchen that i Loved, Queen Beds-Both Ends...

Have to admit at first when you started to lift up the top I thought oh dea lol but then when you skipped to the fully up part I was like ok this is defo a bargain for $150 in the U.K. that would be at least $300 and when it’s cleaned up and fridge in and gas bottle connected would be at least a $600-$1000 dollar camper so we’ll done sir 👏👏

That's awesome you got a great deal obviously. I've never seen one so clean. People in California buy them with a California permanent trailer license plate no fees ever🎉 sometimes they buy them all messed up and just got them. And make them into whatever they want from a living type trailer to just dragging around stuff. But no matter what you do to it in California as long as it has that plate there's never any fees. People used to find little U-Haul trailers and do the same thing with the permanent plate🎉

Most people don't understand how much trouble those pop up campers really are. You go out camping for rest and relaxation, not to spend most of the first day putting that thing together. I've used them before. The first day you spend half the day putting that thing up. If you cook inside it then it gets so hot you can't stay in it. Yes,some have air conditioners, but they usually only work on the newer ones. But after setting it up you spend the rest of the day recuperating from the "NOT" easy way they set up. Then when you get ready to leave, by the time you get it all torn down and stuff stowed, you're too tired to drive.

Check your stickers on your door for your tow rating because that trailer weighs between 1500 pounds and 3000 pounds I am quite sure that your car may only be able to pull 800 pounds so doing this for a long time will break your transmission
