I was disappointed for Trent yesterday because Purdue got beat by Michigan State. I actually hope that fires them up for next week. It boggles my mind how people like this can maintain such a positive mindset. I mean, I’m an 18 year old kid who’s lost every single opportunity to play sports due to injuries and now, I’m easily irritable and pretty much walk around like I have a stick up my ass. I can still play but not competitively, and it really gets me mad. Meanwhile, this young man who had so much taken away from him still manages to crack a smile. However, when he broke down crying, it broke me as well, knowing that you can tell people you’re fine and that everything’s ok, but there are those things....these...dark.. things on the inside that sometimes gets the best of us. I never heard of Tyler until now but he’s definitely sparked something in me, and I hope I can use it to change for the better. Tyler, you were taken way too soon bud but I really hope you found the peace and comfort you were looking for. RIP.

After going homeless for 4 yrs (2001 - 2005) and almost giving up on life I finally got a break. Have been healing ever since. What I did learn is you are stronger than you think. My wish for you is a wonderful life, you are stronger than you think. I played sports as well and when it ended I was lost, but slowly learned to use that competitive spirit in other ways in my life.
