Honestly kinda true; maliss players have been cutting shifter from their decks since it doesn’t do much into ryzeal even though Bystials and fiendsmith are still in the format. You’re pretty safe to run fire kings rn.

I run a more extra deck heavy version in which you go fenrir->riseheart->arsenal falcon->ulcanix pop a fire-> add ponix summon effect add sanctuary-> place fk island effect pop ulcanix add garunix-> summon garunix and ulcanix summon old garunix-> new garunix send arvata-> arvata revive ulcanix-> link climb into sunlight wulf to add back ponix by ssing ip link into princess revive arvata, then link into amblowhale. Off 1 fenrir results in a lot of interruptions. If they activate a monster effect arvata destroy amblo negate-> amblo revive ip, big garunix summon dump kirin-> kirin revive ulcanix pop 1 card-> ulcanix pop arvata add rangbali-> arvata special back kirin, rangabali to ss-> now have a live s/t negate, ip can tag into sp, sanctuary can go into eternity, princess is still live as well. Do you think running the board breaker build/ more reserved with the xyz summons could be more resilient than the board with that many interactions since it does require sacrificing the normal summon?

That's the standard line I was talking about. It's not a bad line, but in a 23 HT format you can lose your gameplay to a veiler.

Your approach is similar to mine except I play thrust and talents over fenrir. I also main deck 3 sky burn and side deck 3 final bringer and play it as a control build that can pivot. I feel this approach is better into maliss as well. Having 3 Kirin, 3 sky burn, 3 book of eclipse and potentially 3 final bringer going first means my cards are virtually immune to being stopped by anything other than ash blossom, which will in fact be punished.

Running 3 Unicorns and 2 pressure planets instead of so many hand traps help against maliss and Ryzeal baits out the hand traps and monster effect then you can go full fire combo with little ease and keep unicorn on field to keep milling out their extra deck

Sky striker package surprisingly good in Fire Kings, I am messing with a build and it allows you to get a fire on the board (Kagari) and extra material to link up into S:P and Promethean Princess

playing 2 arvata, 2 barong, 1 rangbali, and 2 sky burn with 2 sacred garunix in mine. Your on breakers, I'm still on handtraps(ash, impulse, imperm), but cut the 4th playset to fit the extra engine.

Good video. But Cali i have to disagree with Rangbali. There are lines where you go Garunix, pop Ulcanix, Special High Avatar, link climb into Promethean Princess, reborn Ulcanix, Ulcanix search pop a card, Search Rangbali effect SS because you popped Ponix/Garunix. Saying it's not needed I wouldn't approve. Talents is a staple 3 of. Some people are playing Thrust. Imperm is everyone. Bonfire, Tracts, and Book of Clipse is everywhere.... Why not play the 1 card that outs that and applies more pressure on the opponent to waste power spells/traps.

Because it's not consistent enought to rely on. And the only spell/Trap you really fear is Called By. The others you just mentioned really don't matter.

Okay I'm really struggling to understand: why a single copy of skyburn but 2 Bringer of the End of Times? Also why not wait for your opponent special summon to trigger Sanctuary effect to then bring Eternity Garunix?

If u watched the video at all u can see that destroying eternity gets you follow up from ponix and ulcanix and still enables your eternity xyz because you’ll have garunix and either kirin or the old garunix. And 2 bringer because it’s more generic and doesn’t have to specifically hit a fire king card to activate.

@@kollrful Yeah but Bringer of End of Times isn't a spell you can search, with 2 on the deck most of the duels you will never even see it. He also borked the combo, if you destroy Eternity, you can cl2 ponix to summon itself from the hand and bring something else from the GY other than Ulcanix

Please keep in mind fire bringer of end time can be use on fire link monster to trigger garunix resurrection. I had times which holding sky burn is a brick to me becuz my board does not have fireking monster

@@jean-1009 its used as a breaker and follow up. Also most of the time theyre going to stop your ponix search if possible. If you want, you can think of the sky burn as a 3rd copy of end times that can be searched. Sure there are cases you'd rather want another sky burn in the deck but bringer is less dependent since it doesnt specifically need a fire monster on board. Maybe you already used your normal and they stopped you mid combo and you just have a generic fire monster on field. You can then bringer to both pop a monster on field, special a possible garunix or ponix in hand or maybe even rangbali.

if the opponent lets you go that far into the combo you are already well set, it's not that useful. what i like to do is sending barrier statue of the inferno to special it with princess, we're not in the fire format anymore, it shuts down so many decks

Probably just to cut engine for space, but unicorn is a 1 card combo by itself (add theosis, go fenrir, add riseheart, Arsenal falcon, summon Ulcanix, pop riseheart and combo from there). It's really just up to you

From what I see your taking a more balanced/ conservative approach and it would seem you could break more boards going second but I'm a master duel player almost always reaching master 1. I have tried playing breakers I had deck I called branded breakers and would go blind it was great at first until I ran into the most degenerate decks you can think of like turn 1 kills , floodgates decks and spellcaster village decks or the dd xyz bs that negates everything on field that turn. If you allow your opponent to play yugioh by not running heavy hand traps you might regret it. I even run nibiru and droll because tear lights sworn shark ftk but they just limited snow so I don't see it no more. I figure you get what I'm saying. As far as your deck i would run a second sky burn maybe cut one torrential mainly because sky burn is quick play and torrential is turn 2 sometimes turn 3 play. I do run run 3 torrential in math lab tho

if you are gonna title the video "pure fire king still scary" you should probably keep it like that and not include the rest (kashtira....). if that's the case then might as well play the 3 planet + unicorn that with arsenal falcon can bridge into your fire kings but anyway also, ash blossom is still a fire that you can use to pop and get back with wolf and also since you play almiraj, heatsoul could again be an option to make with him and IP (since we lost linkuriboh to do it with wolf) lastly droll, shifter and nib still hurt way too much to not play 3 crossout with them in deck to kinda protect yourself. cards like torrential tribute or final are cool but they are more side deck cards for when you know you are going 1st or 2nd
