Not sure i have ever hadf a Guitar dry out in the UK, its always the other way around for me, becomes too highdrated

That would be exactly what I'd expect to see with a real Fender, made in sunny dry California, or any high end guitar from the USA. Humidity is generally high in the UK What I tend to find here is that the necks that are made in some of the far eastern factories seem not to be particularly well dried wood, so they still mature even though they are finished. The other problem I have is that some of my customers will have modern homes with underfloor heating and are much dryer than my workshop - and that really sucks the moisture out of a guitar quick. I do loads of fret end dresses on almost new guitars, so much that it surprised me too when I first started out.
