The Seething Netd thing was just dumb. Who the hell was trying to stop Eric? I’ll even go as far as to say that he was, and is, being tokenised by the likes of FNT and the Blazed for his apparent right wing stance. I personally never understood why he was uber popular, given that he brought no great insight to any discussion and he’s got the charisma of a wet fish. Trashcast is the only thing that makes him even slightly bearable.

Ethan's streams work on multiple levels. He sells comics and gives great advice/anecdotes from his time in the industry/etc, but he's also hella charismatic and a natural entertainer. So it's win/win with an EVS stream.

I honestly hope that Rippa's End charged a fair price comparable to the headache he replaced. As much as I don't like Eric, I don't like people getting screwed, and the business he constructed actually would be a good thing for guys producing lots of comics (not small time or first time creators) if the rate was fair. All in all, shipping is a headache when you're talking that volume. I worry that he's a bit too involved with the additional products like those terrible shirts and whatnot, but if he's performing good work and buying ads at a rate comparable to the fee it could be a good thing, leveraging Erics folly of overhead into a positive thing for indies. I guess if it's not worth the squeeze Flash will slip a blade between his shoulders and we will get a peek into some of the goings on.

Zack accusing others of betraying him is ironic, you tried to help him with CG and build up his channel and he basically told you to back off and he wasn't apart of CG. He then walks away from the Culture War comes back and begins taking shots at the people who are fighting the Culture War, one of those who used to praise Zack until he began calling him and his group "Party Clowns". Zack's been somewhat sheltered from criticism for awhile , and so has gotten used to being protected from responses to his opinions. As you say , he's worked to distance himself from CG but still feels entitled to its support , even in the face of his open contempt for it. Zack can never criticize someone else's opinions without attributing it to some massive character flaw , while touting his own flawless clarity which he claims he gained through national service. He's almost like Al Bundy at this point , reliving his military glory days as the fount of his superiority while exhibiting crippling social defects which he seems unaware of. If he were at the level of an Alan Moore or Frank Miller his eccentricities might be tolerable but his work proves this is not the case.

Oh thats right he worked his ass off and made smart moves and became a millionaire. On top of this he has helped several people to stand on their own two feet. You think you've earned the right to have a bit of an ego on camera? I think so. Most of us dont know Ethan off camera but i bet he is a chill guy. Thats the impression i got since day 1. And maybe study Ethan a tiny bit. Maybe you too can gain a following who supports you. I mean rather than bitching and being a head wound the alternative is probably better.
