This video is a rehearsal of an arrangement for Trombone and Piano of Pure Imagination. It is a song from the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and was written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.
This arrangement for trombone and piano was written by Shawn Davern.
It was recorded live without audio edits on a rainy night at Boston University on April 26, 2019. The performers are Toby Oft (trombone) and Kyra Xuerong Zhao (piano). The producers are Alex Knutrud and Jacky Li.
The trombone is an Edwards T350HB with an OFT bell and a TBCN slide. The mouthpiece is a GREIGO - ΩFT λ4.5

Your playing is amazing! I remember you did a recording of this a while back and it sounded great but I think this tops it. I'm not sure why, maybe the really extra vibrato or your sound or the piano player adding a nice touch. But everything sounds more wonderful then it did. Keep up the great work!!

@@dougbiento1562 of course! The camp was amazing and I owe alot of my progress to it. I was only there for the week long institute, but it was well worth the money. They brought in world class performers to work with and its incredible to get some serious advice from performers from other instruments as well. I learned plenty from the camp and if you're serious about music I HIGHLY advise it, especially if you dont come from a performing arts school like me!
