Really like the list. Went from kash to striker and now I am also just playing handtraps/bystials. Just feels more fluid in my opinion, and I am very close to cutting Terahertz as well. I also big agree on Lizard and Splash Mage feeling very vulnerable, when I first picked it up I went into them a lot more but the more I play the more I avoid them if I can haha

I like the list a lot and your combos are a lot more straightforward and well explained from what I’ve seen. My question is when do you opt to go for the gryphon line?

there are times you can make linguriboh+gryphon to beat imperm from the opponent, or if you need to fix your hand a bit gryphon can draw you a card and trade out something dead in hand. Overall i think the gryphon line is pretty greedy but there's times it's effective.

I too have removed the Terrahertz package, it frees up 3 extra deck slots and you play out of the norm. I have been play testing with Topologic Bomber Dragon. Normal Maliss combo allows to summon 2 separate times on opponents turn, thus you can proc Bomber Dragon 2 times ( 3 times if you have a Bystial) and you can save your Maliss links thru chain link shananigins

That does seem better than S:P+crypter into maliss mirrors but in the end i hesitate to put up an endboard that loses to nibiru unless it's netting hand advantage (i.e. gryphon) personally. It's an interesting choice and certainly slots right in where this combo line ends! That said, GWC and white binder with crypter in GY is still technically a board through nibiru, so i'll keep it in mind.

@yataboi I haven't really gotten the testing of Bomber Dragon against Maliss as my locals is mainly Fiendsmith Ryzeal, which without non-engine the Bomber Dragon deals with 4 of the 6 extenders of the deck ( I just wait until I see 2 bodies on board ), but I really like your build

I've been playing Striker Maliss for awhile, but I will definitely going to apply your philosophy to my play lines. I will definitely do this combo if I don't open Drones. Also, how do you decide when you need to do Ransom lines?

Say your rabbit gets impermed for example and you lack a mechanism in hand to recur your binder on summon into nibiru. Going straight to binder would lose to Nibiru on summon. That would be a time you could opt for Binder instead as Nibiru on summon accomplishes nothing, and then you can make SP and banish ransom from GY and Nibiru is still ineffective there. Ransom's role is primarily to access field spell which soft-checks nibiru so that you can safely utilize white binder underneath it. That said it's very very rare you lack ANY sort of protection into nibiru with this build between the 4 field spells, 5 bystials, shifter, many ways of preserving your normal, and multiple ways of checking imperm on relevant cards.

Ransom can also be your first maliss line going second to make Accesscode as it immediately forces interactions, from which point you can leverage an extender in the same way to still get to Crypter and most likely OTK anyway, or otherwise break their board and set up something like Crypter + SP.

Really loved this breakdown and explanations. I’m curious your thoughts on SUDA with the inclusion of ao bao and how it fits in the deck going forward. Also your thoughts on template skipper (my opinion is that it seems nice but it’s a worse bystial except for in very specific situations.) Either way, easiest sub of my life 💯

The most common end board right now is ending on A Bao + Masquerena + Little knight on the graveyard Or Masquerena + A Bao + Gryphon And you can do all of this with 1 extender only So i think ending on cryptor is very very bad against the meta, like one Ext-Ryzeal can deal with cryptor

One ext does *not* deal with crypter is the thing: the implication is that Mereologic negates it, yeah? Crypter has text. Moreover, you're only getting all of that uninterrupted, which rarely, if ever, happens either. A-bao lines are of the same variety as terahertz lines, which i've touched on in the video already. a more nuanced critique of this build would be that it's most effective in a handtrap-heavy meta, and with the rise of mitsurugi as an option for Ryzeal, it might come to pass that we shift to a more breaker-focused metagame given the play patterns mitsurugi provides. In which case, going full send on a very large board is more appealing as you won't have to be concerned with playing around handtraps as much. But until that comes to pass and mitsurugi proves itself as the better variant, i'll continue anticipating fiendsmith-backed handtrap gameplay and this type of build will continue being the better option in my eyes.

Crypter would be 6200 since door mouse effect to boost attack would apply before crypter doubles her attack, so she’d come back as 3100 then double to 6300, amazing video tho really helpful, could you also go over your ransom lines, and how it changes the combo?

Crypter's double attack modifier actually applies first! It's summoned and doubled simultaneously ("and" is the key conjunction here indicating simultaneous effects applying); for it to work how you're saying it would need to summon, then double in that order sequentially.

So far as the ransom lines: it's simply when you need to go through splash or haggard, which comes up in the 1 card combos as well as when you're interrupted and have to use those link-2 monsters to extend. I feel that that is content that has been covered by a dozen other people already so i omitted them; i'd recommend watching pretty much any other maliss combo guide to understand the lines.

let it happen vs. crypter/SP. Dodge your gryphon and SP away with that board. If you know you're playing against a deck that'll play it (like tenpai pre-banlist) then you can weave an IP into your line to make gryphon and forego linguriboh, still ending SP+gryphon.

@@X-Rayted_RTR The list largely remains the same into SUDA afaik. I don't think BOE becomes bad but rather it slots down next to nib and co where it needs to be paired to be most effective: BOE + bystial still deals with det, the only thing that happens is BOE stops being the catch-all ryzeal answer it has been. It nonetheless is still a strong board wipe that just needs a little support. That said i would consider something like talents + called in the main and siding Eclipse or Dark Ruler or something along those lines; i've considered adding impulse to the side patterns for fiendsmith ryzeal too and also would consider a card like cycle reader or phantazmay as alternative options for given scenarios. With bystials becoming so big and Purulia prices plummeting that is another card worth thinking about as well. All this to say i haven't considered SUDA particularly deeply because i think it's just another sequence of incremental changes rather than drastic shifts in the meta; at most people have another option for hate-siding against Maliss (Meowls) and bystials will see an uptick (which is overall good for us).
