So what is the best dog food on the market remembering some of us work full time and wouldn’t be able to stand every day and make individual meals.

I've tried 100 dog foods from the shop and online. My dog shows enthusiasm for some but after a few days generally less enthusiasm.with pure he went crazy ripping open the box and barking mad. I've NEVER seen him so aroused by dog food. Boy he LOVED IT, AND EVERYDAY SHOWED SAME ENTHUSIASM. Best of all his health improved remarkably..his arthritis abated and he was happier all round with less sneezing. Absolute fantastic..best dog food ever!

My understanding is that it’s dehydrated and not powdered. I think there is a difference.

Exactly, saying "powder" means nothing. It's not a "protein shake" it is a dehydrated whole food. It is the same process they use to create food for humans when they go on expeditions. So people have and do live on the equivalent for years...

What would you recommended to someone who wants to feed their dog the best they can but do t have the time to cook or prepare raw meals. Is there a convenient option thats still a healthy option?

He never says and that’s the frustrating thing, it would be nice if he said raw or home cooked is best obviously, but of all the reviews I have done ‘XYZ’ is the best, I don’t have the room to cook and store pre made fresh food and freeze it so I would be cooking on top of cooking our own meals, finishing work, walking the dog and whatever else is going on.

@@molley17This isn’t true. He gave Different Dog a good review and I use their products because of him. He has also recommended other brands, like Bella and Duke. You’re just too lazy to watch his videos and complaining about your own lack of effort.

Comparing it to a "protein shake" is either ignorant or disingenuous. It is air-dried whole food. What they have done is basically make dog food in the same way that people make human food for expeditions, by air and freeze-drying whole food ingredients. It's not ideal in my opinion, added minerals instead of whole bones, lack of offal, etc. But definitely one of the better dog foods on the market and will probably do well for most dogs.

Are you one of the owners? One of those guys who claim to be selling quality food to dogs and then produce this garbage. How do you convert meat to powder form? Can you explain how does such a transformation happen at the molecular level? Anything that is too far from its actual natural form is never healthy for any living creature.

My puppy hates it. Spent a week transitioning and he is not eating it. Now changing to something else. I put him back on the kibble the breeder fed him and he woofed it down, he was so hungry. Can’t wait for the new food to come

Ive owed many dogs over the years and they have lived long healthy lives...what did i feed them. My left over food , mixed with cooked potato skins, carrot peels and left over veggies. Completely natural and filled with all the proteins, carbs and essential vitamins .

No, the vitamins are not necessarily denatured or effecacy reduced when freeze dried or dehydrated.

Where did u get your nutrition background. Label is heaviest 1st....meat is weighted wet, so its heaviest.

I have heard before that it is listed in order of most to least.

Dehydrated food is detailed using Dry Weight so you need to do the equation to find levels as per wet food. Personally I don't mind dehydrated or air dried dog foods but they are not all equal.

Hey cam, awesome video. We were at a dog event, and pure were their trying to sell their food. What’s your opinion on cold pressed food? I’d love to see a video on cold pressed, specially Wilson’s!

Hey there! Cold pressed is a bit of con, yes it's a less harsh method of cooking, but you need to check the ingredients. Normally cold pressed foods (the ones I've seen) load the food with carbs (around 25%+), which is far too much. It's always super important to make sure these long shelf life foods are a minority proportion of your dog's diet. 50% + must come from fresh food sources.

You seem to not like any dog foods , apart from is making our own and adding your dried nutritional powder ? my dogs love it . i have one very fussy gsd and i’ve been thru them all and even cooked u own .. nope she turned her nose up. I give my give my dogs this with meat too

I really believe that raw food is the best option for dogs. I'm aware It’s extremely hard to know who to trust, but if you research the ingredients we’ve included it makes it clear that we’re trying to do the best for dogs. About me, I promise I am trying to help, that is why I made a 20 episode dog nutrition course on KZbin, that took months of work and it’s all completely free.

I don't have a dog food brand. I just firmly believe that homemade dog food is the way forward and that dried kibble doesn't offer dogs the complete diet they need

⁠​⁠@@thedognutritionistWhy even bother doing dry food reviews then? I don't see the point in continuously reviewing something that you know you aren't going to like. You're fine to have your own views on dog food, but just because you don't agree with feeding kibble doesn't change the fact that it's a perfectly nutritious food for a dog to eat, and promoting otherwise just creates more judgement towards people who can't feed their dogs extravagant meals.
