I've been making homemade dog food since February 2020 and it is now much improved since watching your videos. I was adding chicken liver and heart, but I was very uncomfortable adding it because it wasn't organic so I stopped. This is what I currently add to my pup loaf... 3 pounds organic ground turkey, 6 pounds organic grass fed hamburger, 1 cup wild or organic blueberries, 1 cup organic spinach, 1 cup organic broccoli, 1 cup organic butternut squash, 1 can organic pumpkin, 3 cans sardines in water with no added salt, 3 tsp seaweed calcium, 3 tbsp of organic greens powder, 2 tbsp organic turmeric powder, 6-8 organic pasture raised eggs, and 3 tbsp organic flaxseed oil. They also get a vitamin.

I appreciate your educational content so much. I made a comment on another of your videos that was deleted because it stated that I had changed my dogs to a PPP product and they seemed to be doing fine. No worries. I understand, perhaps, why it was deleted. But here is the truth of my food journey with my four dogs (3 Catahoula Leopard Dog mixes and 1 very senior Aussie), I am now making the majority of their well-balanced natural foods with only a small amount of dry kibble in the mix. With a lot of research along with your educational videos about how to understand pet food labels, I did change their dry food to a much healthier brand than the PPP because they were suddenly acting as if they were unwell...not their usual perky selves. It is a 60/40 ratio of real meat (no meat meals and all meats are identified) to veggies, fruits, traditional grains (no corn. no soy) and is low-carb. Too, vitamins and minerals are not synthetic. So I am here to offer thanks to you, and to other advocates I follow, who are working to fight against the detriments of too many brands of unhealthy, mass-produced pet foods. I am grateful for what I have learned by taking time in the mornings with my coffee to learn, and then to put what I learned into action for my four beautiful best friends.

Every time I read one of these "organic" "natural" food labels, I get sad. And the best trademark in Spain doesn't sit well in my dog's belly. I don't mind walking the city with an intestine, but she doesn't want it. Natural heart and liver soup took her to emergencies. I can't cook much, It's so tricky and I feel so silly, but thanks to vets like you it has improved and now my cat likes wet food. thank you very much

I’ve been feeding Raw to my dogs and cats for a little over 20 years now. Highly recommend it. I’ve done everything from premade to full DIY and a combination of both. People don’t realize that it is possible to feed a good raw diet for the same amount of money that you’re paying for that crappy kibble.

Fortunately, my doggy day care allows me to bring in my dog's cooked pup loaf meals, which have to be refrigerated. I also have them add warm water mixed with dried goat's milk before serving. They sell raw dog food products, so many of their clients' dogs eat raw... for boarding, they have to prepare for that with refrigeration and washing the dishes (or using paper plates). I feel so lucky my dog's day care can accomodate him!

🥛 The use of dairy in a dog or cat’s diet is controversial. For me, “raw or not at all” usually applies to dairy because the pasteurization process destroys beneficial enzymes, probiotics, and vitamins. 🐐 Fermented, raw goat’s milk is my top dairy choice for dogs and cats. It is an easily digestible source of many nutrients and you can ferment your own SO EASILY 👏🏻 1️⃣ Start with raw goat’s milk from an ethical company. I like @greenjujukitchen 2️⃣ Add a probiotic of your choice (options below) 3️⃣ Let it sit on your counter for 24 hours 🥳 You now have fermented, raw goat’s milk you can give to your dog or cat. (Store in the fridge).

Bravo 👏 great work 👍 but I really get very frustrated when I try to look for dog food, after researching for months till now I couldn’t find any dry dog food that I can trust, I tried several types of freeze dried food or dehydrated food and unfortunately my husky dog refuses to eat that, he turns his head away 😢 I was interested in honest kitchen human grade food clusters but I realized that it contains lentils, from your other videos I understood that lentils are ok so far but we can’t know for sure if it actually can prevent absorption of taurine. Am I wrong? Can you recommend us a good quality of dry food brand? I cook for my dog every day, almost the same meal as I cook for my family , I cook his meals separately without onions, grains , or spices that are not allowed for dogs, I do use turmeric and dash of black pepper and sometimes I use cinnamon or ginger. But I know that it’s not a nutritionally balanced meal that’s why I need a good base of dry food. However I did buy complete vitamins for dogs but my dog smells it in his food and doesn’t want to eat, so I’m really desperate. Please help me out and direct me for a good brand that you are recommend. Thank you again for a fantastic job, your love for animals really touched my heart. Thank you for your video. I have been feeding raw food to my dogs for 4 years now. One comment that I would like to make, is that over the years I have been checking out the deer kills from our local coyote population. I have been fortunate enough to come across some very fresh kills. I can say with certainty that the coyotes do Not eat the stomach content of the deer. Everything else is gone and eaten, but the stomach content has been left behind. They eat the stomach lining, but not the contents. To me this would indicate that they actually do not eat or want much vegetation. It is the other scavengers (Ravens, Crows, Turkey Vultures etc that do the cleanup). This is just my own observations. I also have a friend who's dog catches and eats groundhogs. Her dog will shake the heck out of the kill, in order to rid it of intestines and stomach. She will never eat it. Her dog, my dogs and the wild coyotes will eat the fur and feathers however (Partially for fibre and manganese perhaps?) Thanks again for all that you do. You are a voice that our pets need in their corner

Thank you for all the wonderful information. You make it easier to understand. My dog had a ear infection with both eardrums ruptured and now is on antibiotics for 21 days. I feed her grass fed beef cooked broccoli, spinach, carrots, and a little sweet potato. Coconut oil or olive oil, Also organic blueberries. and Ground Organic flax seed. Some sardines with no salt in the water. I’m guessing the beef is not good for her anymore so I’m going to try grass fed lamb for awhile. I am able to get a beef blend with proper amounts of beef, liver, kidney and heart for raw feeding. I add to origens kibble. The farm states .. All of the beef products we offer are from Southeastern Minnesota down cows. The "down" cow means a cow that has a broken leg, broken back, too large of calf or having twins, twisted stomach, bad feet, fatty liver, stubborn and won't get up, and walking cows that did not get up on the trailer at the human consumption plant. 🤔

Garlic is fine for our pets! It is NOT TOXIC! Garlic can be beneficial for both dogs and cats in appropriate doses. I use fresh crushed cloves to get the full benefits of garlic. 🐱 For cats: 1/4 clove (crushed) daily, 3-4 days per week. 🐶 For dogs: 1/2 clove (crushed) per 20 pounds of body weight daily, with a maximum of 3 cloves. Best to take at least 1 day per week off. *Please make sure to note the difference between a clove and a bulb/head of garlic. Not recommended for puppies and kittens. Long term use is contraindicated in pets with vision issues. If your pet has a history of hemolytic anemia, it would be safer to avoid use of garlic in any form.

You vet sounds like nothing less than a pusher of drugs and you're right to be skeptical !! I hope Dr. Judy answers your comment OR check her You Tube channel. She has many videos on the pitfalls of OVER VACCINATION and how it actually harms dogs. My vet tried the SAME thing with me when my dog was a puppy.(That was 4 years ago) I listened to my Collie breeder, instead, and followed her lead : initial core vaccines at about 8 and 12 weeks old ( DHPP- distemper, hepatitis, parvo, para influenza ) - NO other boosters for them, and NO rabies shot till 6 months old. And nothing after that. You can go the titer test route, and only give boosters when necessary. It's what she's followed for her dogs, for literally decades, and she has some of the healthiest dogs you'll ever see. Dr.Judy will tell you - in her videos - that many of the shots last for years, and some last a lifetime. And some are not necessary at all for the majority of dogs. YET most vets are STILL pushing the 'Yearly Vaccines'. Of course they are - it's where they make the bulk of their money !! That, and neutering /spaying EVERY animal that comes into their practise. Dr. Judy has made videos on that topic too. I didn't get my guy neutered, and he's the gentlest dog you'll ever see, and gets on well with other dogs - NO aggression, NO 'behaviours', which is what they warn you they'll be if not neutered ! It's pure nonsense. So check our Dr. Judy's other videos on these topics and good luck with your new fur baby ! :)

So, you actually do not know that your previous doberman's lipomas were caused by a low moisture diet because they could be caused by any single or combination of toxins in the kibble. You are making a big assumption that the lipomas were a direct result of water content. My senior poodle developed some very large lipomas and he was always given a high moisture content diet. My hypothesis is that lipomas are more likely to result from de-sexing and age of de-sexing plays a major role.
