@DirtyDanMunicipalMan4 жыл бұрын
@@bobg3221 The Crown Victoria never had the 3 valve or 4 valve 4.6L. The only panther platform car that got the 4 valve was the Mercury Marauder which was only available in 2003-2004. All Crown Vic's police or civilian only came with the 4.6L 2 valve engine. In the early 2000's Ford did consider putting the 4 valve in the P71 cars, but it never came to fruition. The 2 Valve 4.6L was kept for its reliability and its cost effectiveness.

the aftermarket exhaust just sounds deeper and not much louder than the stock. everything is about the same except the pitch. I'm not sure if that's just because the microphone doesn't pick it up well or what. is the difference big in person?

It'll sound louder when on the road. When it's idling like that, you hear nothing but a subtle burble.

Huge, too many others on youtube are so quick to judge and criticize here. The camera doesn't pick up the depth of the sound. With a proper set of computer speakers, the difference becomes even more noticeable. In person is always the best.

Hey Kyle, great pure sound video here! Love that drag race takeoff with the borla exhaust! Sounds amazing! I know it's the V8, but how many liters is it?Now, I have a special request for you. I know that this isn't about a high-performance automobile, but this is an exception to that. I'm not sure if you can do it, but here it goes. Can you please do a Pure Sound video on a tuned 2007 Mack Granite dump truck? Let me tell you a little about it: it has a Mack E7 427 HP diesel engine, Allison 4500 HD automatic, and has been tuned up quite a bit. I don't think it has a muffler on it. The turbo has been spooled up so it spools up really fast, like when you do a drag race takeoff! It's from a company called Red Hawk Construction in NC. And this beast has a real mean sounding jake brake! You might have to call and talk to Red Hawk about getting the truck for the day, but please do a Pure Sound video of that truck! Remember, when you do the drag race takeoffs, make sure you do one with the camera at the start of the drag strip, so I can hear that mean Mack E7 screaming as it goes down the drag strip! And remember to use the jake brake when slowing down! I know you might need a CDL for this, but please give it your best shot. I think it would be really cool to hear a heavy duty truck like that Mack going down the drags at Farmington Dragway! Please let me know ASAP.

+ChuckleFuckleBee I have to agree with you but in the winter it will take forever like almost double the time to warm up. the factory airbox warms the air. I have a 91 Camry 2.5L v6 and swapped to basically a ram air and it doesn't do much it added like 1 horsepower. I got more power from cleaning the throttle body
@NonoNonaa8 жыл бұрын
Jared Ostler The factory airbox draws air from behind the headlamp, which makes sense that it would warm the air in winter. Modern engines aren't limited by air intake. they're mostly limited by the heads and cams. The only way to really improve power is via forced induction, or to get a more aggressive cam and freer flowing heads.

Because the P1 video isn't edited yet. I've been traveling all this week. The In Depth reviews take a lot of editing time, especially for cars like that.
