The perspective offered by Answers in Genesis forces people to choose between the Bible and modern science, and reinforces the harmful cultural stereotype that modern science and biblical Christianity cannot mix. Sadly, Answers in Genesis is staking the authority of the entire Bible - and Christianity itself - on the view that a global flood is a viable alternative to abundant scientific evidence for a longer chronology of creation. To do so, they must add in many speculative details not found in the biblical text, such as the “biogeographical rafting model”. And they must rely on a theory of post-Flood animal evolution in which species diversify at rates many times faster than any known evolutionary mechanism. These theories, along with many others posited by young-earth creationists, are not based on credible scientific evidence; in fact, they contradict the clear evidence in God’s creation.

Of course, you do realize that eight people would not be able to build a 500 foot long, 50 foot tall ship within their lifetimes, having little to no force-multiplying tools, such as cranes or block and tackles? Noah's flood story is just that; a story meant to teach a lesson not a literal event. The bible is filled with allegorical stories with lessons implied. Noah's flood story is no different.

This religious myth is rediculious at face value. There is no way that some number of animals could leave any ark at one geographic location just several thousand years ago, magically transport themselves across oceans, (such as kangaroos and echidnas returning to Australia) and leave behind no offspring along the way. Then have a single family of middle easterners repopulate the planet AND generate the various phenotypes such as African blacks, Scandinavians, eastern Asians, Latinos, Inuits, pacific islanders, Aborigines, Pygmies, Mongols, Native Americans, etc AND populate the corners of the globe with completely different languages and cultures that don't have any references to said religious myth. That night it started to rain and the mother dog started into a panic and i saw that water was puddling up around where this very large dog house was and the puppies were. I went to the neighbors to get help to move the dog house as the rain was just pouring down and water rising up. The neighbor came over and saw and said we could not move the dog house but we could divert the water so we got shovels and did the best we could and it worked but later ask my BF to help me move the dog house becuz of the danger, he said no, i ask his friends and they said no so i raised up my hands in frustration and said God help me and pushed and the dog house easily moved, just too easy, i could hear rocks underneath and i pushed it up into a higher ledge maybe a 45 degree angle?? It was higher land but it moved sooo easy it was a miracle. It took less than a minute to move it, just tooo easy. Later the neighbor ask me how i got that dog house moved and i told him what happened and he just stared at me like i was nuts, but that is what happened. Us believers could tell you a million things about the utter change in us the moment we received Christ's forgiveness and it would not convince you. Only God Himself can reveal truth to you. If you really want to know for yourself you need to ask Him! Are you willing to direct this question to Him?! Ask Him: God who made this world and us humans, is Jesus Christ real? Did He come to offer sacrifice for our sins and was He resurrected and by this are we reconciled to You from the separation that sin and rebellion caused? He the Holy Spirit of God will reveal it to you, if you genuinely want to know! Dear God, show Homer that you are the Way, the Truth and the Life. That no one comes to you but through Him. @Seth Tegler God is in control of all creation and EVERY creative. "Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?" - Luke 12:6 KJV He commanded the animals to go unto Noah and into the ark. Why do you think birds, ect migrate to survive? They didn't think it up on their own. They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort. AND THEY WENT IN unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in. - Genesis 7:14-16 KJV

You should also look at the Christian arguments against Ken Ham and his weird view of the Bible. You may learn to not be afraid of science and facts, but embrace them.
@mikemcgown63622 жыл бұрын
Ken Ham has educated me so much in just a few videos I've seen. He showed me that evolution and natural selection that I was taught in schools fits with biblical teaching as well. The "Kind" term used in the Bible means that "it" has ALL the genetic material needed to produce every species. I was raised as a Christian but also followed science and history. It had me tremendously confused and conflicted with what was real. Ken got me thinking for myself. I applied everything I learned from all the different influences and sort it out, logically and biblically. Time is the most confusing element involved. Education time is man's definition, that is completely different than biblical time. God was here before time and will be after time. He always was, is and always will be. Time means very little to Him. Man tries to understand time and fit it to his perspective. Time is limited to man. Ken doesn't have enough time to reach everyone that needs to understand that. People need to open their eyes and heart to God's word.

@Mike McGown, don't fool yourself. Creationism is no more than a feeble attempt to make Sunday-school stories seem appropriate for adult discourse and to give the false impression that belief in Bronze age fables is somehow part of the 21st century of scientific thinking. It is not.

I am impressed by this amazing structure. I cannot even imagine all the hard work they did to feed the animals and take care of them, making sure they were healthy and making sure their enclosures were clean. I always wondered about Noah’s daughters in law, how heartbroken they have been to know that their lead ones drowned in the flood in the good friends as well. I just can’t get that out of my mind when I think about the account of Noah and the great flood.
