Thank you for uploading this. I had totally forgotten about this girl in the years that have passed. I greatly enjoyed her voice and would watch her videos in the early years of ASMR (2012/13). As with other early artists in ASMR that have disappeared over the years I wonder how she is now and what she's doing. I hope she's well. There's still plenty of great ASMR in 2021. Its gotten complex, highly creative and often very visual with our current day 4K HD cameras. But often I find myself missing the simplicity and innocence of ASMR in 2012 with people like this where soothing voices really carried the whole experience. And that's all you needed.

@N-VAMusic Жыл бұрын
@user-ck8kp8vb4l it's not necessarily bad. There can be times where it's actually quite good. goodnight moon asmr role plays for example are fairly scripted but incredibly pleasant. Problem is that a lot of ASMR now of days sound kinda forced and with the use of in video ads (while I understand the need for them and want these people to sustain themselves) I just can't shake the feeling that the whole video is an ad. Videos like this one actually feel like you are just taking time with a friend to just enjoy life and talk in normal but calm tones of voice instead of someone tapping objects incessantly while practically hissing in your ear.

It's disappointing to see so many people complaining in this comments section. Good asmr existed in 2012 and good asmr exists now. Yes there's an influx of more intense genres and a select few that intend to make the genre weird or sexual but there is still a huge community of creative, dedicated and unique asmrtists working in 2021 and to say there's nothing like this now is simply incorrect. The sad reality is that attracting a substantial audience on the internet means that eventually it will also include a small percentage of sociopaths, juvenile delinquents, malcontents, stalkers, and other abusive people you’d never otherwise associate with or subject yourself to. So for highly sensitive, kind and gentle souls like this girl Aurette certainly appears to be, I can totally understand why she felt the need to destroy her channel and close it down for good, in light of several comments here saying there were bullies and stalkers. In most fields, you can strongly filter out undesirables by your location, the price of entry, rules and regulations to remain a member etc. On a free internet site like KZbin you get exposed to everyone, sort of like riding a NYC subway.

the nyc subway comment is utterly classist. i was born and raised in nyc- specifically brooklyn. living here you will understand that not taking the subway is only an option for the top 1% and tourists. i’m upper-middle class and know unless u are a multi-millionaire you can’t afford any other method of transportation here. you aren’t “exposed to everyone” you take it as a community. if you view the subway as dangerous it’s a dead giveaway u aren’t a new yorker. and 99% can’t complain about it because it’s the only option. i understand where your coming from in the rest of ur comment but damn, that rubbed me the wrong way. the classism amongst people towards public transportation needs to stop.

I had a friend in high school that talked like this and had a similar sort of mousy awkwardness. She was an excellent essayist and helped me improve my writing. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Man this take me back, I remember the first “asmr” channel I watched was way back in 2011, sounds sculptures they were called I believe don’t even know if they’re still around, there wasn’t even a name for it then, not even whispering community or anything, you really had to put in effort to find videos.

Aurette is so wonderful! I'm relatively new to the ASMR experience. My start was with ASMR Darling a couple of years back. There are several artists that I gravitate to and Aurette is now one of them. If she made a return her video views would explode!

2012 was the year I discovered ASMR. Back then there were only a few ASMRtists (before they were even called that), like VeniVidiVulpes and ASMRaurette. Both of them are missed.

Don’t get me wrong, because I love the current state of ASMR, and its evolution over the Years. But I would be lying if I said that I didn’t miss the Old Days, when it was still so niche and the boundaries were really being pushed because the overall genre was rife with completely unexplored areas of content creation. Thanks for sharing this gem from the past. 👍
