Purekraft 800HT

A custom build was the only option for the owners of the striking orange-and-black Purekraft 800 HT (hardtop) Heatwave. Friends Mike Keys and Dale McGuire had the boat built specifically around the needs of Mike’s 21-year-old son, a tetraplegic. What they wanted was something no “off the books” boat could deliver. Heatwave is an excellent demonstration of Purekraft’s custom capabilities.

Lovely boat, i love why this boat is set up the way it is. 1 gripe i have is that the hull is so loud at rest how are they ever going to actually catch fish, it doesnt sound foam filled, please correct me if im wrong but in your audio its hard to hear you talk over the sound coming from the hull

Great video as usual I notice that this boat is very noisy. You never comment the noice on aluminium’s boat. But this one is very noisy.

Every boat review the boats are described as wonderful and beautifully built etc. no doubt they all are nice boats but there’s never any real critical look at pros and cons. No real commenting on ride quality and comparisons with other boats. All come across as puff pieces. Almost like paid product placement. Makes them worthless as actual reviews. Saw this boat at boat show at weekend. Was plenty of things to like about it. Would be nice to know how it actually rides with that high plumb bow. Tuna doors in the side are super common in the states and even Aussie. Would be great to see manufacturers do them here but do those ones leak? Are the locking mechanisms any good? Understand it’s a platform to showcase boats but would have a bit more credibility if it was done so objectively.

Yeah i totally agree. all these modern ali boats are much of a muchness nowadays to be blunt , there all pretty good . Iv built over 300 boats of various brands and it's funny how every kiwi bloke thinks hes a naval architect with the best ideas ever to achieve the ultimate boat , it's all compromise.
