I quit drugs because i overdosed on mdma and meth that night. Got overheated and couldnt stand without blacking out and hitting my head on stuff. Learned how harmful drugs were to me and finally quit. I feel amazing all of the time. Dont regret it though. Lsd and shrooms legitimately cured my depression, anxiety, and adhd

In my opinion the Hiset is a lot more "test friendlier" than the GED. When I took the Hiset in 2015 I was so happy to see that the format was still in book form, the GED is only given on the computer now and it's way more complicated. I did pass all 5 parts of the Hiset test with the help of a math tutor. 🙌🏽

I agree! However, since COVID, HiSET is encouraging people to take the test on the computer rather than paper. It takes a LONG time to get the test results back if folks choose the paper version.

Son is on the Spectrum. Had issues in High School with English (literature and subtle meaning). He is two hours from a High School Degree. We are looking at one of these two tests for him.

They ask either of them if you choose HiSET then they accept some colleges but in smaller colleges they accept both of them!

I’m confused because I’m currently taking the GED course, but the Language Arts section is two parts, reading and writing. Your video suggests that only the HiSET course is a two-part Language Arts course. Also, is your content based on the Canadian or US courses?

GED has one test that encompasses reading and writing. The hiset separates the two exams.

Most people are used to the GED, but the HiSET might be offered in your state. Don't worry about your age. I work with people all the time that have been out of school for a while. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Hiii I just have a question for someone who has taken the Hiset test. Do I have to study all 5 sections and take all the test at the same time or can I focus on 1 (like Language arts)finish that one and then focus on another like mathematics.

It depends on your age. If you are 16 or 17, you have to be well prepared in all 5 areas. However, if you are older, you can take the tests when you are ready.

I passed the GED around 2005 but they never sent me a certificate. I just recently received it after requesting it online and it just says "High School Equivalency Certificate" ...so I guess they all must look the same.

I know that I am going to catch a lot of crap over what I am about to sawy but, I have to say it.This whole thing has been stacked aganist the average person. These exams are fine if you have only been out of school for awhile, you have a chance. Myself, I have about as much of a chance of passing these exams as a snowball in a hot oven, I could probably blunder my way thru all except the math, never seen any of it, been out of school sense 1967, I am 73 now. David Coleman(President of the College Board), Achieve, Bill Gates Foundation, other CEOs of large companies are in on this too. David Coleman once at a meeting with parents and others said, and I quote" no body gives a shit about what you think" unquote. He is telling you right there that you do not matter. Coleman was also responsible for writing the ELA section of the Common Core. He wants to keep our kids stupid and in the dark as long as he can. Then, you have Bill Gates throwing millions of dollars at the schools, but, there is a catch, you have to adopt the Common Core State Standards to get it, O Bama made sure of that. This way they control the schools thru the money. When Common Core was dreamed up in some dark back room some where, there were no teachers involved, parents, or anyone on the outside. The plan was not thought threw, it was just thrown together a fast as they could so it could be put into use, and they could start making money off of it, MILLIONS of dollars, These people are only out for themselves, believe me. You can check all of this out if you want to dig for a lot of it, not easily found. You can also read about the trouble that these people are in, the complaints, etc. Bill Gates, David Coleman, Achieve you can all kiss my ass.
