internet has created an over saturation of artists? that's just what I've noticed. I can't keep up with all these artists I'd have loved before the internet. nowadays I'm discovering a new favourite artist daily and I just can't keep up lol

I came across this 5 years ago when my now ex gf was ruining my life. I'm 31 now, but was with her from age 24-28. After the fact, I found out she cheated on me with so many people, I lost count after 7. She was a chronic cheat, raging alcoholic, and abusive. I wanted to unalive myself for so long that I shut down and lost everyone. I now have a gf of 2.5 years. but I have not felt the same happiness since 24-25. I feel so empty now. I just happened to stumble upon this song again and immediately, memories come flooding back. I dig out old photos on my old HD. Hundreds. I want to message her and tell her how fucked up I am now that I can't even love my current gf the way she deserves. As much as this song kills me, it also saved me at one point. This, and "December" - Neck Deep. I wish I could go back in time and stop myself from ever meeting her....maybe then I'd still love life, and whoever I would've ended up with instead.

I lived in a very similar situation, with a narcissist who ruined my life over the course of 5 years before I finally had the strength to walk away.. we had 2 beautiful children together. When it happens or did just know it was for the best and messaging her is not going to help you!! It's only going to show her she still has power over you man. I get it and I'm struggling to pull through for my current relationship because it has been a blessing but I know the past doesn't just go away... I think eventually these things will fade away brother. Stay strong

I fucking love this song because it's simple and direct. No mystery, no interpretation. It's just a sad and real song for a sad and real moment. Adding some rationality with the "I'm so alone now but I'll get by somehow" part that chills my bones but ignites my spirit... So damn good. Thanks for this song Corey.
