As a Catholic we have so many resources at our finger tips: throw holy water daily for the holy souls, wear brown scapular, miraculous medal, pray rosary, chaplets, novenas and go to confession weekly and it will help heal you of idleness quickly. 3 Smelling Sensations Of Roses! In the beginning of my conversion, I would go to sleep during the day because I was working nights. I would play the 15 decades of the rosary as I laid down to sleep. One day, Jesus and the Blessed Mother appeared to me on my left side. They actually floated on the left side of my bed. They were about 12 inches tall. I felt so comfortable with them, and I knew that I could ask them anything in the world. So, I did. I asked them about hell. A big part of my conversion experience was learning that many people land in hell and that really bothered me. That motivated me to change my life, but to also warn others. Well, as I am with Jesus and the Blessed Mother, knowing that I can ask them anything, because I felt so comfortable with them, one can't even imagine it. So, I asked about hell. That was one of my biggest concerns. After all, I wanted to be able to share all eternity with my loved ones from here on earth. Plus, I hated the thought of people actually going to this horrible place called hell. So, Jesus and the Blessed Mother told me that it is so bad there in hell, that if they showed me it, I would die of horror. Well, that's the last part I remember from our conversation. The next thing you know, I wake up and I have the worst stomach ache that I have ever felt in my whole entire life. I stumbled to my kitchen, from my bedroom, looking for something to drink or medicate myself, as I'm bent over in pain. The next thing, I get three distinct smelling sensations of roses. At this point in time, I have no recall of what just happened as far as my visitation with Jesus and the Blessed Mother or about our topic of conversation. When those 3 smelling sensations of roses surfaced, I just started sniffing, like where is that smell coming from, I don't have any roses here, or anything that could even resemble roses. Then I remembered what just happened, and instantly my stomach felt normal. Then I remembered, Jesus and the Blessed Mother had just visited me. First of all, you should prepare for confession in front of the blessed sacrament, preferably in silence, whenever possible. Second, you should examine your conscience on the 10 commandments which as a Catholic you should have memorized, the 6 precepts of the Church, the 7 deadly sins, and the 9 ways of being an accessory to another's sin. If you have to, write it down. It will help you remember your sins, or you must, take your notepad into the confessional (I have done this before). I would suggest offering 5 decades of the Rosary sometime during the day, before your preparation for confession. Additionally, ask the Holy Trinity to help you examine your conscience well. Additionally you may consider reading or reciting the penitential Psalms before entering the confessional. During confession, after you have announced all of your sins, consider saying: "I confess these and any other sins I may have forgotten. For these and all the sins of my past life, I am heartily sorry." The only time I would say you most definitely have not confessed adequately is if you conceal any sins you know you, or are reasonably certain you are guilty of. If that is true, then your confession would be invalid anyway, and if you received communion in a state of mortal sin this is another sin that must be confessed and receiving communion in a state of mortal sin is truly detrimental to your spiritual life and journey.

A baptized baby is more powerful than the devil. We should not be afraid of him. We should put fear in him. We should be afraid of offend God, because he is supremely good and all deserving of our love. We get punished because we choose to consent to the temptation instead of choosing the good God who only wants the best for us.
