I’ll be fitting a Suffolk Latch tomorrow, and without seeing where you went wrong, I would have made the same mistakes. Thanks for including them!

Nice one mate for being real and honest, I see so many videos where the camera goes blank and they never say I'm hiding a screw up top man 👨

Bonjour! Sitting here in my old house in France having breakfast while setting out my GSD list for the day. Our bedroom door has no handle; the beautiful handmade Suffolk latch has been sitting in its box for 3 years! But today is the day! I’m going to fix it. Loved your video, not just for the “everything’s a screw-up” mantra as that is so me in my DIY endeavours. Heartening to hear it from someone else. Thanks for the vid, I know now what I have to do. Just got to find the wrong hammer! Cheers mate 👍🏼

Not a disaster. I have original 1700s hardware in an old tavern to reference. The hardware is 90 degrees. It's German style, but with the same geometry. My first attempts were disastrous, but you live and learn.
