make sure you have your radio code before disconnecting the battery terminals. my buddy had this error, i cleaned the gas cap, removed washed & reseated the gasket on the cap, & it fixed the problem

Thanks for sharing. On my 2009 Accord there was a hose very close to the solenoid. I had to use an offset wrench to reach the bottom screw. Thanks for your video.

Did you smell gasoline in the cabin? I've got a 2012 Honda Crosstour and gas odor in the cabin and outside the car. No CEL. Trying to figure out.

I didn’t smell any gas in my car. The smell may come from a leaking gas line, gas tank are known to leak on earlier models or from the gas filler tube. This is where you fill your gas tank.

Hi....i smell gas in my cabin as well. The computer dosent show any codes. I got the Air intake hose changed along with a few small leaking tubes and the collent tube also....still i have a gas smell with no codes. What do i do ?

Silly question are you replacing that purge valve solenoid because you received a check gas cap message on your dashboard?

My check engine light came on. When I pulled the code on it, it showed a number of possibilities, one of them was a gas cap solution, another was the purge valve. The gas cap was fine, but the purge valve replacement solved the issue.

Hi good video I have a Honda Accord 2012 and I have the code P0455 and it says emission evap leak not sure if this is the same code you have on your Honda Accord 2008

The code you are getting is a large leak, verses mine being a smaller leak. I would check some of your vacuum hoses to make sure that they are attached properly, they are not cracked or split. Than look at the more expensive items.

@@Apulux unfortunately there is a lot of aftermarket parts out there that may not be the best of quality, you may have had this reoccurring problem because of a defective part. There could be something else causing the part to go bad.

@@Apulux it could also be the charcoal canister or valve that may cause the code. I’m pretty sure that you have replaced or checked your gas cap.

I just bought a flexible extension hopefully it works cuz I couldn’t get the bottom bolt off

Just try to work it back and forth, so you don’t break off the bolt.

Unfortunately once rust starts on a car it is difficult to stop it completely. You can slow it down. It is the disease of the North for cars.
