The instructions say I should disconnect the negative terminal from the battery first ?

@@WaltBorchers-x3l anytime you work with anything electrical on vehicles it’s always going to tell you to disconnect the battery. Smart idea. The risk of someone starting the vehicle while you are working on it is possible. You never want that key to turn to ‘ON’ while things are disconnected as the ECU can log a fault code and your Check Engine light will pop on. Also, as it’s electrical, it always runs a risk of shock! Your battery is beneath the driver side floorboard. You can pop off the cover with 6 tabs you twist. The negative usually has a quick-disconnect. Per YT policy: *This is not professional advice and I am not a professional mechanic.
