Repentance isn’t something we do just once. It’s a lifelong practice of confessing our sin and crying out for God’s mercy. In this message, R.C. Sproul discusses our need for genuine, ongoing repentance.
This message is from Dr. Sproul’s 8-part teaching series Psalm 51. Learn more: www.ligonier.org/learn/series...

Prayed and praying. The Lord is your "provider". King David has said, "I have been young and now am old and I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his/her seed begging for bread." If you are in Christ Jesus, you are indeed a child of God and this promise is for you also. Hold tight, the Lord is on the way!

Great analogy. Our sins come from our sin nature; it goes much deeper than just sinning. May I NEVER get over being broken when I sin. There is a great sermon by Voddie Baucham called Brokenness that every Christian should watch.

The difference between the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit and the accusation of sin by Satan. The Holy Spirit convicts us to cleanse us and to restore us but Satan accuse us to make us desperate to destroy us. Our God is good, gracious and merciful🌈🔥🔥🔥💥🙏

Good day. I was struggling with concerning a specific topic in terms of oaths/vows/promises. I had made a promise/vow to the Lord, however I have not kept it and I didn't realise how serious these things were until i came across Ecclesiastes 5 and Judges 11. However I also came across Matthew 5:33-37 and James 5:12 where oath taking is also mentioned. So now I am not sure what the next step to take is. Do I try to keep it or do I seek his forgiveness and move on?
@adamvo5571

Is the oath you took a sinful oath? If not, then keep it. Now that you have been made to understand the seriousness of an oath you will be better prepared to keep the next one you make. Don’t shy away from making an oath just be more discerning about the oaths you make!

Oaths? What kind of legalistic nonsense are you in??? Just believe the objective truth of the Gospel. Your silly, feeble will power adds nothing. Please study the distinction between IMPERATIVES (commands of the Law) vs. INDICATIVES (statements asserting TRUTH). A Christian is saved through believing INDICATIVES, not by obeying IMPERATIVES.

To save souls until the end of ages, Our Lord founded His Church on the twelve Apostles (Rev 21:14), whom He chose and taught Himself, appointing St. Peter as His Vicar on earth (that is Pope), vesting him with His Authority by giving him the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt 16:18-19). Then what did Our Lord, the Eternal Pontiff and High Priest (Heb 5:10, 7:24), do? He ordered them to go to all nations and teach them to Observe All He commanded (Matt 28:20). Then Our Lord said, "Whoever believes and is baptized, will be saved; whoever does not believe, will be condemned (Mark 16:16) and I am with you always until the end of ages (Matt 28:20)." To be saved, therefore, one Must believe and observe what the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church teaches and be baptized by receiving the Sacrament of Baptism administered by the Church and become a member of the Mystical Body of Christ, who is its Head and Savior (Eph 5:23). The Sacrament of Baptism washes away all past sins committed and restores the Sanctifying Grace lost due to the Original Sin -- his soul is then re-born, like a newly created soul, and God dwells in it and he becomes a child of God (John 1:12). St. John said, "No one who is begotten by God commits sin (1 John 3:9). After the Baptism, if one commits a sin, his soul is wounded, get sick, and if he sins more and more, the soul dies and loses the Sanctifying Grace. If the sin is mortal (1 John 5:16-17), the soul loses the Sanctifying Grace and dies. In order to be saved at the time of death, the soul MUST have the Sanctifying Grace, otherwise it will be condemned. Knowing our frailties and Satan's wiles, and to save members of His Mystical Body from sin and death, Our Lord instituted the Sacrament of Confession through which sins committed after the Baptism can be forgiven (John 20:22-23). Through this Sacrament administered by a priest, His minister, Our Lord washes souls, heals and strengthens them to better resist temptations; if the soul was dead because of a mortal sin, Our Lord revives the soul and restores the Sanctifying Grace so that it may be saved. Outside the Catholic Church, one will not be able to have his sins forgiven, nor attain salvation -- because he, on his own free will, rejects the Catholic Church, Our Lord has provided for salvation. Please remember Our Lord's words, "Whoever listens to you, listens to Me. Whoever rejects you, rejects Me and rejects the One who sent Me (Luke 10:16)." That's why "Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus (outside the Church, no salvation)" is a Catholic Church Dogma (Catechism No. 846). For further information on this, please watch The Forgotten Dogma: No Salvation Outside the Catholic Church by Father Isaac Mary Relyea on KZbin. Why remain outside of His Church and risk your eternal salvation? "Behold now is the acceptable time, behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2)!" May God bless you, grant you understanding, lead you to His Holy Sheepfold (John 10:16)!

20:19 You know, if you think about it this can get quite complex! 😧 "Accusing" (either from the Spirit or from satan) is, in it's basic form "criticism"! "the expression of disapproval of someone or something based on perceived faults or mistakes. "he received a lot of criticism" The difference is one uses constructive / positive criticism and the other uses destructive negative criticism In layman's terms one builds up and strengthens the other tears down and weakens! 🤨 I guess this would be classified as spiritual warfare!🤔

PSA 51-5 does not say that David was born in SIN with a sin nature. He was conceived in SIN; which means one or both of his parents committed an ungodly deed when David was conceived; It was in this manner that he was brought forth in SIN; It is nonsense to say that David was born with a sin nature, and this is the ONLY scripture that pastors, preachers and theologians to support the false doctrine of original sin. David was born into the Abrahamic covenant... God cannot have His people born in sin and at the same time born into the covenant that He made with Abraham.. this is God breaking His own covenant, for church leaders to use PSA 51-5 in this manner shows the level of stupidity that church leaders operate in; and then they have the audacity to say that they are anointing..

People who listen to Preacher Man like r.c. Sproul. Don't have the Holy Spirit in them. The apostles only obey Jesus the high priest of the Temple. So that means you people who listen to this preacher-man RC sproul here have been unfaithful live in Jesus Christ and you definitely do not have the Holy Spirit.
