As a recovering addict & a man who's seen casualties in the workplace, I mean it from the depths of my heart and my soul when I say; *Bobby, you are MY hero.* Your story will & has pushed me on my darkest days, your personal courage is more than admirable, I can relate to your story in so many ways and I thank God you're still here to tell it & to remind people like me that there's a brightside through the chaos and the darkness and the unknown. Thank you Hive, Bobby & every single one of you. *You guys saved my fucking life*

Damn this was intense.. if you ever read this, I want you to know I am so sorry for what you had to go through as a child. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. Unfortunately it shapes men into becoming hard and strong like you are and we need people like you in this brutal world. I don't care what color you are. You are a God damn American and you bleed red just like we all do and I have nothing but love for you. Thank you for your service! 💪

Bobby, First, your story is very real and yes, it has real pain. You said you are no longer swimming in it but paddling in it. Keep believing in growing stronger mentally and emotionally. Grow wise. You are right, everybody has a story. I know I do. If you find a good counselor, consider getting some help. As we get older, the child inside of us also has to heal. Otherwise, we will have clashes as adults. The pains of our childhood intersects with our adult lives. The family racism you experienced happens to a lot of people. This is not meant to minimize what you went through. It has its complicated history, very few really understand where it came from or how come it is or was like that. With each day, believe in the power of healing. I didn't have the best or the worst childhood is something I have to tell myself. This is after some years of dealing with my own family pains. I had to learn to paddle out of it and get on the land. It is a difficult transition but what will make it an easier one is when you decide to transition from the emotional pains to healing. Much of what you said, hit home for me. Look at like a complicated puzzle and piece together the pieces from a new life forward. We cannot change the past. The past will probably always be a memory but it doesn't have to be a continuous painful one. It is your hurt & story. When you are ready to heal only you can decide when. Be strong brother and grow wise.

This was such a powerful video to watch. You are so brave and strong. Keep pushing forward. In my eyes and thousands of others you are a true war hero. The guilt of you not being able to do anything is holding you back from seeing that you comforted him you made him feel safe and helped give him relief knowing his family would know he loved them. No one but you will ever understand how you feel and I’m sure that makes things so much harder to cope. You deserve peace from your mind and I pray you find it.

I vividly know that pain and trauma of being the chosen one. For a man or woman’s release. Is to abuse your child. I know that pain. Constantly getting beat for things so small or minor that, sitting down is hard to do. Or even explaining the welts on your arms from being beat with extension cords or any object they can find. Doing good in those parents eyes just doesn’t exist. Fkn right I know that feeling. 🫡 this man for exposing himself enough to share inner pain.

You are dark-skinned, not unlike myself. I listened to your dirty-stinking story. The pain, humiliation, and regret... I feel you, brother. I got the same beatings. I got the same rejection, the same ridicule. Yeah... Stand tall my brother. Stay quiet, bide your time... Your time will come. And when it does... You will be the winner. I love you, brother... Great story . His real heroism came in not pulling the revolver trigger and then agin once he found his way to school. Comment to editor...way too much background music and vocals overlay. Cut it way back dude. Feels like you are impressing yourself with the editing and you don't need so much of that. Well done story over all. Thank you for presenting Sommer's plight.
