The MV gave me Dreamcatcher: BEcause vibes with the hotel staff outfits, and what seems to be the alternate versions of themselves, with different colored outfits. Absolutely love this comeback. It might be their best title track yet in my opinion. And I also really like the song Autopilot from the EP.

I'm almost positive the set with the front desk and the keys on the wall behind it is the same one from the BEcause MV, I noticed that immediately. The sound palette and the visual vibe in this match perfectly, this is definitely my favorite title track of theirs so far.

Sweet Juice is def their best work so far, both song wise and Mv wise. Sexy and ominous vibes , very horror influenced ( of course we can see the Dreamcatcher similarities )

3/15 is their debut date so I think the number itself doesn't have a meaning in the lore so much as it's a nod to fans. This comeback they really outdid themselves, not just the concept but the line distribution was the most even I've seen from them. As a Dosie bias I'm living for the amount of her voice on this track and the choreo it so beautiful and unique. These girls are too talented (they wrote on most of the songs)

this has to be my favorite purky title track since ponzoña. 💜👏❤️‍🔥 their witch storyline is all about how they stayed hidden all the time and weren't happy about that. in the geekyland/nerdy story films they decided to finally take the risk and move out into the public and stop hiding. let the world see how extraordinary they are (nerdy/'extraordinary broadcasting company', now 'insolito hotel'). so now they've established this hotel business of theirs in the open and i think the 'sweet juice' is the taste of freedom to do what they want and how the past or some outside force (in the form of that woman in the black dress) is still haunting/hunting them because they as witches weren't 'supposed' to live free and open like that. in the concept teaser the subs told sth like this as well: 'witches should stay hidden? No!' 'we are opening this hotel, see/show witches like never before.' and then there is the arrival of that dark person/spirit. i might be totally off though. 🤡 we might learn more about this on their anniversary, hence that 3/15 tease. the only thing i do know is that i love this whole album! 💜🙂

I'm focusing on the first line of lyrics "Lighting the candle that will wake the darkness". In memeM and Nerdy I'd say they were chaotic neutral. They were invited into the mind in memeM in the story vids, and their mischevious in Nerdy. In this are they awakening their dark side? Ending up in the black outfits. Going back to Ponzona the imagery was much darker than their later comebacks.

Thank you so much for making time for Purple Kiss! I'm so glad that you checked out the concept trailer and the intro as their intros are always amazing and their story films are great. 3/15 is the debut date :) Almost anytime a group has a number in the video it's the debut date. I think this is their most interesting MV so far and I'm hoping at some point they maybe explain some of the story as there are so many interpretations. Loved hearing your thoughts on the meaning as always!

SO far my favorite performance video and song by Purple kiss is still PRETTY PSYCHO this song is so addictive . SWEET JUICE is a very new style for them i don't know how describe this genre of music . but they keep doing the same kind of concept . that fit them i was afraid than they lack of something after the departure of JIEUN but no in fact they got the same fire vocal line , a great rap line and great concept .

I think this is their best song to date, tho it doesn't sound like a hit to my ears. I don't know what the MV means or even what they mean by Sweet Juice but it's a haunting song. Besides The Shining there was also a Psycho reference with the bathtub and shower curtain scene and the setting reminded me of Hotel del Luna but I'm not sure what they intended by those things. Goeun lighting the candle at the beginning after sneaking into the room seemed to be part of a taboo witches' incantation that kicked off the events that follow. When she's told to run it seems like a warning to run away but it could also mean run towards her goal. The overall impression I get is be careful what you wish for - eating the forbidden fruit, or in this case drinking the Sweet Juice, comes with consequences that unleash a shitstorm from Pandora's Box but some of the lyrics don't fit with that conclusion so I'm still very confused. I'm sure Plory has a better interpretation and hopefully someone will steer us in the right direction.

she might have worn the dress or even played that part in the mv, but i don't think it is supposed to represent her in any way. why hire an actress if you dont show her face anyways? so i think she might have played that part just for practical reasons and not because it has anything to do with the story. i think we could learn more about this on their anniversary hence the tease with that 3/15 date.

I love how deep you go into your analysis. However, I think you are looking a little too deep this time. The song wasn't written by them. RBW bought this song from an American songwriter. The lyrics and composition are a seductive view of an emerging relationship. The video is in keeping with Purple Kisses love for dark and quirky scenarios and using horror movie tropes (Yuki's favorite). But. The song and video don't need to match and probably doesn't in my estimation.
