We have been using the iGotTech screen door from Amazon for the last 5 years. We usually get 2 summers use out of one because of the dogs. The only time it does't close consistently is when there is a stiff wind.

The tennis ball helps to fluff up pillows, Dow products etc.. Its a fairly known trick to avoid flattening of the products while in the dryer

Thanks to your thorough reviews, I now am a Purple person: twin mattress (original and love it); tried the purple pillow, couldn't get used to it so now sitting on it while I type; I have had the plush pillow for a couple of weeks and like it well enough. I change between soft and firm mode, depending on my mood that night. I fluff it each morning by hand and it still seems thick enough. I use a pillow case (Purple spandex sheets - love them, too). I bought two pillows for $50 and haven't used the second one yet. I put tennis balls on my shopping list for this week...haven't washed the pillow, yet.

I'm a huge MyPillow fan as I like flatter pillows. I ordered their king size premium pillow with the yellow fill (their least amount of fill). I basically push all the fill to the side I'm not using and it is great. I bet I could get it completely flat if I wanted but I sleep on it with about 1-2" of fill. I wash mine weekly and use a cotton pillow protector and case. I have never been "into" pillows but I totally get the hype. If I ever lost it, I'd replace it immediately. I've been using it for about 2 years and so I've washed it about a hundred times and it still looks new.

I am a huge fan of Purple. I’ve been sleeping on a Purple 4 mattress for 8 months, and I love it! I cringed at the price, but it was worth every penny, and my back pain vanished in less than a week! Now I have the seat cushion, sheets and mattress pad, which are truly perfect! However, I was majorly disappointed in the Purple Plush Pillow. It was “buy one/get one free,” so I got two for $49+tax and free shipping. I wanted to try them and needed new guest pillows, anyway. I tried them for a few nights. I am a side sleeper, and they are way too soft and I don’t like the way the pillow comes up around my face, as you mentioned in this review. Needless to say, the Purple Plush Pillows are my new guest room pillows! I am sticking with my amazing off-brand memory foam pillows.

I like my pillows thick and plentiful (I currently have 6 on my full sized bed) and the original Purple didn't appeal because of how flat it is. This one's better but the flattening would displease me, especially after so short a time. Awesome review, as always!

It depends on your sleeping position. I'm a back sleeper so I need very little support so I enjoy pancake pillows. If you're a side sleeper, you need more support so side sleepers usually prefer firmer support. If you're a stomach sleeper, which I sometimes do, they need the least support, hence why I prefer pancake or flat pillows.

We purchased the original Purple Mattress and pillows, and within a month or two the new plush pillows came out. When they did, Purple offered a buy 1 get 1 free, so we purchased two. I absolutely love the original pillow, but hubby wasn't sure. Now I have a lopsided bed, since hubby likes the plush, and I love the original. Hopefully the shams conceal the lopsided effect, lol.

The tennis balls are a common trick for pillows. It fluffs it while they dry. Works for blankets and towels too from my experience :)

The purple harmony is the balance between the original purple pillow and the purple plush. I have all 3 pillows and I use the purple harmony the most but I like to switch to the purple plush about 2 nights out of the week. The original purple pillow is too flat and firm for me but it does stay cool and use it for short naps when the environment is hotter than what I like it to be. Your videos help me on searching for a good pillow. Thanks!

Just a heads up: ALWAYS wash two pillows at a time to balance out your washing machine and to save wear and tear on it. The reason for the tennis balls is to prevent lumps and to fluff the pillow back up. I always throw in two pair of little kids (shoes about 3-4" long) canvas tennis shoes into the washer and dryer with my pillows to keep them close to new in appearance. The pairs I use are 12 years old now and still in perfect shape. Just be sure to buy all canvas uppers with no metal on them; something like a little girl's T-straps with Velcro closures.

Hi James, I am not a fan of this pillow at all. I had a purple seat cushion but never got around to getting a purple pillow because I like soft pillows I can sort of mush into shape. When I saw a 2 for 1 deal on the plush pillows I pulled the trigger. After several delays on shipments I should have known things would not get better. The moment I received the pillows I washed them and their quality issues were immediately apparent. When I brought the second one from the machine the seam had split in two places. Dealing with the Purple customer support is a nightmare as they won't talk with my friend who is trying to handle the return and I am not available to manage the return during their support hours. The "soft" and "firm" settings are not very different from each other, not nearly enough to satisfy people who can tell the difference and have a preference. These may work for a hotel or an AirB&B to try and hit a middle ground, but it trying to appeal to everyone I feel like these pillows miss the mark for anyone. There's simply no way to really dial them in and fine tune enough. Very disappointed in these pillows and the issues with customer service have definitely cost them the sale of a mattress I was looking to buy this year.

I ordered the Purple harmony pillow first and spent not even a whole night on it and I didn't like it. I found the pillow to be too firm and bouncy. I love a really soft pillow so after I initiated the harmony pillow return I went ahead and ordered the Plush pillow. I hope that this Plus pillow works out better for me. I have down pillows now and they started out so thick but are now just thin, even after fluffing them up they just go back to being a inch or so thick. I see that the Plus pillow does thin out but even with it thinning out it still looks thicker than my down pillows. I suppose if I wind up liking the PLus pillow and am bothered by the thinning out , I can always get a second one.

you can buy packs of WOOL balls. they would do that as well and for all your dryer loads. they act as a natural fabric softener apparently and they seem to work. I used them. very cheap too.

We use wool dryer balls. Helps break up lightweight clothes. Reduce static. And catch some pet hair. We use 4 balls and they supposedly last 500 cycles

I purchased ours right when you could pre-order them. So we have been using them for a few months. Mine mainly is used as a "booster" for the regular purple pillow and it does the job. Is it worth the price? Not really. But we got 2 for the price of 1 by pre-ordering. So, I'm okay with that. I do agree with you though. Comparing it to all the other purple products, it isn't in the same league. We also have the new generation purple mattress(3), purple pillows, sheets, platform and protector.

Please try the Malouf Zoned Dough Pillow, Ultra Plush! It even comes with a special bamboo-type pillow case that keeps the softness and doesn’t restrict its cushiness. I’ve had mine for about three years and looks like the day I bought it. I also bought two extras just because I was afraid they would quit making them! It literally feels like bread dough in its risen state.

I know that just cant be right. Perhaps the belt would lend some support but decompression does not work like that . I got the Purple Pillow behemoth from their kickstarter a year or two ago... What is the best way to wash the rubber portion? Is it a super gentle cold cycle or what? Hand wash it with dawn? What did you do to get all the dust off and did you add any baby powder or anything back to keep it from sticking to itself? I have been washing the white pillow case and I also have been using a pillow under it. Have you tried the sobakawa cloud pillow? I have one of those too... pretty comfy

Dude, you have to review bamboo sheets! They are cool when it’s hot, warm when it’s cold. Soft like satin...the top sheet feels like water flowing over my skin. Carlioha is a good brand with great color choices. Very expensive, though, compared to cheaper brands.

I am a huge fan of soft and super adjustable pillows. Mine is a simple down alternative that is super easy to wash and care for. I don't even know the brand (yikes! So I have the original purple pillow and I still sleep with my arm under my head. I've had it for about 15 months. When I first started sleeping with it, I had exactly that. Zombie arm. Ha ha ha, great description: my arm would go numb because of the weight. After about two weeks though I never noticed it happening again. Either I slight changed how I sleep or my body adapted to the weight on my arm and now has no problems. The thing you have to do is really give it a chance. Try it for at least a full month before you return it, like they recommend. I didn't think I liked it at first but now if my house was on fire I'd grab the cat and my pillow. I love it that much. It'd also grab the mattress too if I could but that damn thing is like 100 pounds of lead jello.

I love my buckwheat pillow from amazon. Dial it in to your firmness by adding or removing buckwheat and your golden. Heavy and quite expensive though.

My father in law swears by MyPillow. He showed it to me and you can see where his head lays. There is no filling at all. It all moved to the sides. He said he just fluffs it a few times in the night. IMO, you shouldn’t have to fluff a pillow in the middle of the night. Then he turns around and teases me for having a purple pillow and Casper pillow and T&N pillow.

It's a different material and I find it to not be supportive. Yours looks like much firmer material, mine is more like an anti stress ball material, very squishy.

My favorite pillow is Buckwheat. You can shape it to your neck and it gives good support. I sleep on my back. I take it with me when I travel.

Get flax pillow cover, really breathable (and soft). Using tennis balls is very common for any feather filled pillows, plankets or jackets.

By the way, the "My Pillow" dude has different types indicated by this, Yellow, White, Green, Blue and Red tags.. your level probably the Yellow for Children/Petite Stomach Sleeper/Narrow Shoulders or the White Tag.
