That video didn't properly explain how Pickles are made. You pick and wash cucumbers. You then put them in a jar or barrel with Salt & Vinegar for basic pickling. However commonly they also add Herbs and Spices such as Dill. They then have to stay like that for at least a month but can be kept longer. The Vinegar & Salt transform the cucumbers into pickles. There can be more stuff involved depending on type of pickle but that's the basics.

7:51 I got an idea for a quick animation about this. Starts with a shot of Jack walking into a room through double doors. He squints to his left with his left hand over his eyes while hearing the other guy on the phone in his right hand and ear. As the other guy says please, his eyes perk up, and he precedes to shout and raises his left hand way up. Right as he says the word cups, and it cuts to a farther away shot of the room as a whole (two pairs of people at the front and a table with a lot of cups of water at the back), a Totodile with Nami’s hat crashes into the other side of the room from Jack as though it’d used Sky Attack, leaving a triangular carving in the wall and the sound of a bunch of falling rubble and rain. Cut after that sound ends.

You make pickles by putting cucumbers in a jar with vinegar and salt. Then you let it sit around for a while, and it ferments. Bam... you have pickles. That's literally all there is to it. You can add extra stuff to it if you want, like the seasoning Dill. Then you get Dill flavored pickles.
