Vikings brass visited JJMac for an entire day during the pre-draft process. KoC stated they installed part of their offense to get a read on JJMac's ability to learn. So, I think they already know that he has a high football IQ (ie, he was taught by Harbaugh - nuff said).

I really don't have any questions about McCarthy in terms of how he going to handle adversity, relationships with teammates, or handle success. He's mature beyond his years and is hard-wired to that he is extremely driven to be successful. It's going to come down to how well (and quickly) he is able to adapt to KOC's instruction and run the offense well, hopefully very well. Same thing with Turner. It's pretty exciting.

A couple of thoughts: I wish that streamers could agree on a uniform distance between the camera and the melon. Tyler’s head shouldn’t look that big. Other times, it’s judds head. If we’re gonna be the 1 sports podcast in the universe, we need some nuanced production upgrade. Consider this episode the first OTA. These rookies are still figuring out names, where the bathroom is and whatnot. I’m not expecting much with this round. Its orientation.

@@lorenheaton7524 because he isn’t asked to do everything anymore. We have other guys that have taken a bigger role. The dude took a huge pay cut, as he should, because he isn’t the main guy anymore. But you need savvy veteran leadership on the team, so I’m glad he’s still here.

Your take is yours and stick with it. I won’t make excuses for smith he is DONE! In his prime he was good but he is way past those days and I won’t make excuses for him as his role has changed. The longer he plays the more it takes away from his accomplishments. For those who keep saying hall of fame please spell it out on why he is a hall of fame guy? 6 pro bowls is his biggest accomplishment

Zimmer would be a funny roast, and I agree with Judd that as long as you kept the family stuff out of it (which is tragic and not funny anyway), I think Zim would lean into it. I think of Mike Zimmer in some respects like a hardened military guy. Think drill sergeant. I suspect there may be some funny stories in there, and Norv Turner is definitely in play.
