Tyler is wrong on Ogbah’s situation. Yes, Ogbah was injured in 2022 due to a pec tear, but in 2023, Fangio moved in as DC and had him as a standup OLB. Ogbah flourished under Flores when he had his hand in the ground. Under Fangio, Ogbah wasn’t “trusted” because Fangio is an old curmudgeon who has his players and Ogbah wasn’t in that club. Overall, Ogbah did GREAT in his small sample snaps from last year. The only reason he is a FA is due to his salary being $15m this year and the Fins could cut him with minimal cap hit. If I’m the Vikes, YES, sign Ogbah because he has gas left in the tank when put in the right situations.

Hot take: Spring/Summer Football is worthwhile and if it grows, it can be a decent supplement to the NFL worldwide, even if no NFL players are involved (!). UFL will always be a second choice to the NFL in the US, but there are different leagues around the world. For example, Rhein Fire, Frankfurt Galaxy and Hamburg Sea Devils are now all playing in the European League of Football (ELF). That's a semi-pro league and gives young players from Europe the option to showcase their talent, with the option to get a US College scholarship or an NFL international pathway invite if they show out. Also, together with a couple other similar leagues, it's the only option for fans in Europe to watch gridiron football live (apart from the London/German NFL games)

When did the media go from reporting the news to making the news 🤣. I seriously doubt they’ll make any moves now. The Vikings if they were in win now mode and a couple pieces away yeah sure but they’re rebuilding this year. Young QB with a bridge QB and Edge rusher they’re not gonna nail someone down to nail someone down. You have two pretty descent to really good coaches on the Offensive and Defensive side of the line. Let’s develop this young talent that Kwesi drafted first and if by some miracle the Vikings start really hot then maybe and I say maybe add a piece if it’s available. Wow patience is not a virtue these days huh. The foundation is lookin good don’t get greedy adding grandpas to the lineup that are probably subject to injury at this late a stage in their careers.

@@DustyRay88 moneys not the issue. Being responsible and developing the young talent is. You’re not going to win a Super Bowl with these QB’s. Save the 26 million. Why draft players if you’re going to spend all this money on players that have little or no upside. You don’t build a team by blowing money you build a team by drafting well. This generation is a bunch of spendthrifts and has no patience. Instant gratification is what got us here in the first place. We weren’t willing to let go of older players over the years and we paid the price for it. If we would have traded Hunter last year instead of sitting on it we’d have had another draft pick. We kept Cousins three years too long. Kwesi isn’t gonna just go out and spend money on a sexy football player. He will assess the value. Of course Andy or Seipman and some of the other pundits would spend someone else’s money. They know football but finances probably can’t even balance a checkbook. They can carry that 26 million into next year. There’s no one out there right now that you could get without spending heavy draft capital on. We won’t have draft capital until 26’. I’ve seen enough teams built over the last 50 years and because you have a salary cap it’s not wise to overspend and only think about now. Rick Spielman got us into this mess by overspending on almost every position especially at the QB position. He’s not going to spend that 26 million unless he can get tremendous value for it.

@@brianw3656 no he isn’t. But I believe he understands you build for the future not right now. It’s okay to have a couple three off years as long as you’re bringing in youth. I believe in what I’m seeing you say is the reason people were afraid to let go of Cousins who I always thought was a good QB just not a SB QB. You sometimes have to let go of what you know and trust the decisions you make for your future will work out. You have to take emotion out of the equation and then you can think clearly on what assets you need instead of what you want. Team chemistry is unknown right now and we as fans don’t know if the team will gel or not but because we have decent coaching I think we will be okay. This is a let go let god situation. I think we will have an idea after three exhibition games how the depth will look. We have more depth this year then last year and the year before but I do agree with you we may need help up the middle and will have a better idea if it’s dyer after 3 exhibition games. These guys up the middle may be better than we know but we have to let the chess moves play out. I don’t listen to these pundits because although they know a little and I mean a little about the game they know little what it takes to develop a QB. Their ignorance is breathtaking 😱. A good QB after 3-5 years of seasoning doesn’t need an OC. He should be able to call his own plays and that’s part of the problem with the game now. Your QB and Middle linebacker if trained properly should be able to call the offensive and defensive plays. If they cannot do that in my view you only have half a football player. Teams panic because they lose their OC or DC. They have placed to much importance on those two positions. The OC and DC should only make up the game plan and only send in plays if he sees something that might work but the QB and Middle Linebacker should always have the last say in what play that’s called and if your coordinators don’t have that confidence in the QB and ML then they did a shit job coaching both positions. You wouldn’t panic if the OC or DC got a HC job because your QB and ML got this. Dallas Cowboys ruined football when they took the play calling away from the QB and ML in my view because the NFL is such a copycat league other teams followed suit later on and in my view big mistake because OC’s and DC’s get interviews all the time for HC positions.

Yeah, I don't understand that at all. Blackmon was widely rated last season. Khyree Jackson has elite physical attributes. Shaq Griffin brings a strong veteran floor and adds experience to the group. Evans and Booth have both flashed and are still developing. McGlothern is intriguing. They have plenty of depth and a great complementary skillset.

@@brianw3656 Let's not conflate the opinions of fans and analysts with "honest assessments". The coaches are assessing these players daily, on what they were asked to do, and how well they did it. Any fan or analyst likely has less than 10% of the information and knowledge of the professionals. Yip, that's how inherently arrogant and stupid it sounds whenever a fan or analyst is adamant about their opinions. Flores selected 5 of the 7 guys in the current CB room specifically for what they bring and what he wants them to do, and he supervises their practice and learning everyday. Putting any of these guys' opinions on the same level is just ridiculous???
