I love these two minds going at it....and bringing up Brian Cox and David Bentley Hart! So interesting and resonating to have the BASIC concept of telos or purpose coming back into "acceptable" play again!

Latest Studies of the visible Sky as of now show no other place can support life. Ponder this and know. Thank you Professor Sheldrake, we do live in the garden of Eden, there is no other.

We need a way for people to come together around Rupert’s ideas, like a Telegram group or Discord. Does such a thing already exist? If not, I might make it.

If everything is alive then everything can be killed - in which case it is highly improbable that everything is alive because some of it is likely already dead. Chandra Bose was able to use harsh chemicals to kill metals back in the 1950s. No kidding.

I believe in a God that created life but not in a pantheistic way because how is a stone alive in any comparable way to a normal life form? Also what are the implication of a pantheistic god principle regarding morals? are they pointeless or even possible under such a system?

I am awarding you and me the purple heart of valor 💜🙏 .Big thank you rupert! I am a baby Boomer. I was en trenched in the san francisco area when you were there. I was on my death bed in 2015. I was looking forward to being out of here having seen almost everything I had worked so hard for all my life disintegrate. I figured I had about a year left and I thought, well maybe I could be the hundredth monkey and find out what the hell was going on here? I always thought that if we understood the system, 🤖we could break it into something more peaceful instead ofa perpetual slaughter house! You are a big hero and a brother. to me.⚜️🎺🎆🎇👨‍🚀🌏 galaxy and earth under new management now in my opinion of course😂

What is growth? Desire attracted toward purpose with intention?
@dfearo
@dfearo 2 ай бұрын
Does the attractor really equal a goal? Add sufficient complexity to the set of attractors and you express the causality of living self organizing systems in the same way with attractor goals there but more diverse and hidden? If the mathematics of the Markov Blanket is best expressed as attractors, you perhaps get fundamental goal directedness or emergent purpose.

You talk about how, everything that exists has a weak but existant pull towards rejoining everything else. And I call that the evervoid. The place/time/substrate before/after everything we know, where everything and nothing all coexist in one unified substance, where every particle of evervoid is a perfect fractal copy of the entire thing. And this is all there is at the bottom. So, to keep itself from stagnating/crystallizing into absolute zero, it sometimes allows part of itself to catch on fire. (Which not only changes part of itself into something else, but provides entertainment. Like with Plato's cave, except that, if you're the only organism that truly exists, shadows on the wall of yourself is all you have to entertain yourself with!) This fire is the divine spark from which all of a world's consciousnesses come from. We're all sparks of this central flame. A planet forms around it, not just to protect the evervoid from it burning out of control, but to preserve the fire so it has time to grow a planet's worth of lifeforms, all interacting in ways that make themselves more and more complex. God, then, is the collective mind of all Earthlife. If the planetflame is the life force, the more complex it becomes, all of its collective experiences and memories, its morphic resonance, become the mind of God. (I also have a theory that the ash left behind when a planetflame begins to burn is *also* sentient. This becomes a spirit of opposition, imagination, time, mistakes, lies, and art. If "the devil" was more than merely "evil" and was simply, 'Everything which is not reality'. And sometimes things that aren't real are quite good too, aren't they?)

The delayed choice photon experiment? Doesn't the photon exist in a timeless state of eternity and knew what choice the human experimenter would make all along? Is there a macroscale cosmic version of that - God?
@AlexReynard
@AlexReynard 2 ай бұрын
I can't tell you what a relief it is to see someone else looking at nature, realizing that patterns keep existing at the micro and the macro scale, and then extrapolating that upwards from us. I thought I was the only one futzing around with that idea!

if there is purpose (as one understands the term) in nature i would think that it exists at the level of the organism either plant or animal and it would have to do with survival. so why did some survive and others not? can be seen as purposeful but i think more so the luck of the draw. like the cockroaches of chernobyl or fukushima.

You seem to be pointed in the general-all-lY direct-ion that anY ION should be pointed in...the open question in this ion of ionic orbits seems to be are you on the plane that the plan calls for or off on some tan-gent missing an t resulting in an agent that is looking for a tan without the tan lines that one finds when based in 60 where the trix you see based in ten become the minuetes played by the minute for those in the now. If your cosmic resonance theory was correct everyone who had been played music of any sort would be a musician at the age of three and so your research might shtick its promiscuous proboscis where the records lie and find a trail of children learning how strings vibrate at a certain age and then certain ages learning how to demonstrate a progressive ignorance of music as music emanates from the radius of the sun at the 432 multiple of three and two that music radiates at while other bases are abused as imaginary radii of the eye in the sky.... If you were sitting in front of a piano rather than a walled in fire place the story might seem different but the seams are showing and the idea that some observations are more frequently recorded as observed these says does not correlate with the music knowledge that is absent all but the darkest coronets of musical corners where theory of the twelfth root of two is openly discussed amidst a crowd that would prefer to hear chopsticks to Chopin as long as someone else is palying the bills.
