Hey! I hope you can give some advice. My neighbor got a cat from the shelter and it seems to be a lynxes point Siamese. He is so sweet! Me and him fell in love the moment we met each other. He spends a lot of time outdoors, part-time at my place to get cuddles and attention and goes back home to get food at my neighbours. We are byou okay if he has two homes. Also okay if one day he prefers one home over the other. I am just a bit concerned because he is a shelter cat and he is outside a lot. Maybe he feels a bit lost and lonely? What would be best? To keep him in one home and really connect? Because most of the time he wants to do his own thing (which is a but unlike his breed). But when he is around he is extremely affectionate.

I would love to give you decent advice, but it probably depends on the cat. I know that my cat would be scared, cold and miserable outside and we have a busy street outside and I would not feel comfortable letting him out. On the other hand, other cats are very independent and like their alone time, they like to go for walks etc. Some cats attach to only one person, some like groups. Our cat likes more people, but his mother, also a Lynx point liked only one person. It's the best to discuss the situation with your neighbors and monitor your cat's behavior and what makes him happy. I hope this helps at least a little bit! Good luck! 💕💕💕

@@MicoKitty Thank you so much for responding and giving different perspectives. Yes, I do have to observe him. He feels like a “family cat”, he is highly intelligent, empathic and well raised. He likes his space and he allows people to enter on his space, but it’s his. I think that is why he switched homes as he had to share the other home with another cat. At the same time he was stray, found full of flees and worms and the brought to the shelter. But I can tell that he wasn’t born a stray. Clearly he had a family. He wants to attach and love. He loves routine (spends indoor from 19pm tot 8am & outside during the day). He waits patiently when I come home from work and knows it’s time for food, cuddles and resting. I feel he sees me as “his” person and my neighbour and her cat as “his friends”. But God knows what he does during the day haha. Maybe he even has a third home 😅 (I highly doubt it, we have a large communal garden and he loves it here). I feel he could teach me unconditional love and patience and I can teach him the same. In the end (and beginning), he found me and I simply reciprocated his love. So… let’s see how this story unfolds. He is a free spirit. But then again, so am I. So maybe that’s why our energies aligned and we meet 😅😂❤ He did enjoy your video on different kinds of meowing. He recognized the sounds 😊❤ “My” cat doesn’t make any sounds by the way. He just softly prrrr when I am near. But for the rest he simply shows me by walking. He is unlike any other lynx point Siamese! But he is very cuddly. Which I love ❤

As I was reading your comment, I thought the same - he chose you as his person and your worlds perfectly aligned! Having two homes is kind of neat, when I think about it. There is always someone around and you can even go on a vacation and know your kitty will be fed and loved! 💕🐾
