Easy for you to say. Here in Vegas every time a Siamese is up for adoption it’s gone within 1 hour! It’s so hard to rescue one here because of the demand. Most people are forced to shop. Animal foundation has a “first come, first serve” policy.

Can't stop myself from smiling while watching this video as I own a Lynx Siamese cat too and she defo fulfilled most of the facts that mentioned in the video. I am glad she came to my life and it has been a real good companion during this pandemic. She is the most loveliest creature and very affectionate all the time. Oh ya. We adopted a senior seal point stray who had lost almost 2 thirds his body weight and suffered from mega-colon, so he was unable to poop. After a major surgery, and lots of love and feeding, he became healthy again and lived a good life fir quite a few years afterward. always by my side wherever I was. He passed away a number of years ago, but I still think of him often. He was so loved and so lovable.

I took my late mother’s Seal Point home in July 2020 after she passed away. Murphy is now 9 years old and is 16 pounds..he’s long and tall, and yes he’s amazing and I love him! I have 4 other cats but he’s the only one that is a cuddle bug. He opens the bathroom door to come in and out. I taught him to sit for treats in a few days just like the rest of my cats. Now he goes in the kitchen and sits down whenever he wants treats which is all the time!😻

What you are going thru breaks my heart because I know exactly how you feel😿 Jack was so brave, he wanted to live. The vet was never sure what it was but he thinks it was his liver. I didn't have money for tests and he needed an ultrasound. I called every organization that says they help, THAT IS A LIE. YOU MUST FIRST HAVE A DIAGNOSIS THEN APPLY THEN IT TAKES TWO WEEKS FOR A DECISION AND BY THAT TIME YOUR CAT IS DEAD. The emergency vet I took Jack to wanted $1500 to see him. Jamacha Pet Vets saw us the same day I called and let me make payments, even for his cremation. They were wonderful but I hope Ned doesn't have to go. Give your baby all the love you can and pray everything is ok. There are so many Lynx Point kittens in shelters right now but Ned is eleven so we need someone a bit older but it would be fun to adopt two kittens 🐈🐈 Best of luck, I hope your baby gets better 🙏😼🌹💜

Our cat was definitely majority siamese of some kind. He was handsome, with beautiful blue crossed eyes. He talked (especially when we got back from vacations), he would always meet guests. He was pretty smart- when he was a kitten I taught him how to open a door that wasn't quite closed. That is interesting you say about pica, because he would always eat nerf darts and those rubber bracelets that had stuff written on it that were popular years ago. He was also interestingly not as allergenic, friends who were allergic to cats said they didn't react as much around him.

I have a 5-month old tabby/siamese male (adopted). It is really fun to watch; at night while he sleeps (in my bed) and hears me approaching he would just raise his head instantly, but with a face that shows he is not completely awake nor conscious, with his right eye semiclosed. Then going back to sleep, lowering down his head like if his neck were melting down. He is not too clever as he has fallen down the stairs a couple of times while grooming at the very edge of the steps (he is ok).

They are affectionate, can be clingy but it’s nice. Very intelligent, can be trained to retrieve, learn tricks, can become very depressed if left alone too long. There’s nothing like them. I miss my Meezers and can’t find one in New England, and mainly Maine. Enjoy them. Time slips by so fast.

I had a lynx point Siamese, Mina. Sadly, just 3 days ago I had to put her to sleep. She had cardiomyopathy, which had turned into heart failure, and she was suffering terribly. She was a total clown, who loved to amuse us. She was my constant companion. Unlike the Siamese described, she thought everyone in the world was an asshole until proven otherwise. Except for me. She loved me with her whole heart, completely, as only an animal can. She was my delight and my heart's joy. I will miss her forever.

We just lost our beautiful and most precious Lynx Point Siamese, Jack, and our world is so sad and empty. I say we because he was bonded to Ned, a blue Tuxedo who has big round green eyes, and is grieving terribly. Jack helped me with every part of my day from making my coffee and their breakfast in th morning to making certain I went to bed at a reasonable hour so treats weren't served too late, what a great guy. He helped Ned a lot because Ned is partially deaf and they had such a loving friendship. It has been nine weeks now and though we are both still mourning Jack's loss, I am starting to look for Siamese who are in need of a new home, the shelters have so many kittens but we need someone a bit more mature because Ned is eleven. I would like someone still young enough to remind sweet Ned that there is more to being a cat than sleeping. I love the kitties in the video, they are everything I want in my Siamese. I especially miss Jack's running commentary and opinion on everything that happened throughout the day, we had such great conversations. 🙏😼💜🐈💕

My deepest sympathy. We also just lost our beautiful Chico at 9 years of age from 'apparently" kidney cancer. We are in the biggest depression ever since losing him just a week and a half ago. His sister is very confused and having very panic and manic behavior since. We found a new male siamese kitten thinking she would be receptive to a new little brother but that only lasted 2 hours then she started hissing and we've been spending a very long weekend trying to get her to adapt and giving her tons of attention while still caring for a young kitten at the same time. It's exhausting! Hopefully she will soon embrace his presence as he gets older.

I really thought we would be doing better by now but at almost 10 weeks out now and except for the fact that at least exat Ned is eating now,his stress seems to get worse. Ned was feral till age three then mer and bonded with Jack while in the shelter together so his life was totally turned upside down after eight years with Jack, he doesn't know anything else. I really want a Lynx Point Siamese but I am almost ready to take any adult or senior cat. Sweet Ned won't play with toys or sleep in any of the beds they shared and it is so sad to see him like this. I have him in a body shirt now to keep him from chewing on his back and belly. We have friends praying for us but so far it's not working and Ned doesn't deserve to suffer the way he is. @@danawirthrittenhouse6414 thank you so much Dana. I wish you and yours happier days. We used to take our Chico and his sister to the local park (which was once a golf course) on our bicycles. We purchased a carrier trailer similar to the ones you see parents carting their kids with bicycles. They loved those trips. We even have this stroller since cats are rarely like dogs when leash walking. I would stroll them around the park so they could look at the trees, birds, people and then take them out (leashed) and let them touch the grass , sit on a tree branch and explore. We would take them to the marsh area and pick some of the tall brushes and cat tails and take them home as souvenirs and they would play with them for days before they would dry up. Maybe an 'out of the ordinary" activity might stimulate Ned out of his depression for an hour or so???

I'm sorry for the late reply and I'm so sorry, I really sympathize with both of you! 💔 it's very hard losing a pet and it's even harder seeing the other pet depressed and mourning 😔 our little Lynx point Siamese boy Mićo is sick and we don't know what's wrong with him. We've been going to the vet almost every day for the past 2-3 weeks. He even stopped eating completely, we were crying all day non stop. He's starting to eat now, one step at a time, but we still don't know what's happening with him 😔❤❤❤

@@MicoKitty I send you my best wishes that Mico recovers. Sometimes I wonder if it's the 'trusted" pet food that is making them sick. Especially during this pandemic and supply chain issues. Where are they getting the meats from? Maybe their suppliers are getting meat from questionable sources or euthanized horses? It seems we now live in a world where what we used to be able to unquestionably put our trust into now requires ourselves to overlord and look at them with a magnifying glass. It never used to be this way and it can really cause you to get very cynical especially when your loved family member is voiceless and requires you to sleuth out the problem. Thank you for being so supportive and know that although we do not know each other , we all feel for you and yours as we have had or are having similar experiences.

i had a siamese cat named princess when i was younger, and let me tell you she was so picky (for lack of a better term) about her favorite people. my mom and I were always constantly followed, begged for attention, rubbed up against, and my dad was hated lol. my brothers not so much, but she had her moments with them. overall such a good kitty and great family pet, she loved our dog teddy too, and I wish I appreciated her more back then :( she was such a cutie! I hope to get a siamese or balinese one day (mostly bc i'm severely allergic to cats in general), and maybe a friend for them too lol, this was such a fun, informative video!!

I just adopted a 5 year old long haired lynx point stray a month ago.he is deaf. His elderly owner died about 9 moths ago and he'd been living underneath the empty house. He was so scared and alone.he used to be a primarily indoor cat as it's not safe outside for deaf kitties.they cant hear cars or other animals and there are coyotes in the neighborhood.a concerned neighbor lady posted an add on craigslist for someone to please take him in and I did. it took 4 days to catch him! He was so scared and hid from me in my house for 3 days. now he's so sweet and lovey.hes super smart too he's learned to point with his paw to things he wants.(he has a silent meow)

I have a male flame point Siamese, and I have to say that this video is pretty spot on for what it's like to own a Siamese cat. He's extremely smart but also extremely stupid at the same time, he meows very loudly if I don't wake up on time and give him ALL the attention, and not to mention he loves playing with his toys. Only thing is he doesn't like to sit on me for some reason; Instead his favorite spot is the cold tile or hard wooden floor. So many soft things and hides gone to waste... (My fiancé's cats are going to get to use them, no worries)

I find the seal-pointed *traditional* Siamese to be one of the most beautiful and enchanting breeds of cat! Their devotion to their human; their affectionate natures; their intelligence and talkativeness; their inquisitiveness--all these qualities make the traditional Meezer sound very much like the affectionate, intuitive, comforting cat-companion I am looking for. I do worry, however, a bit about the high energy it sounds like it takes to make a Siamese cat happy. You see, I have sometimes debilitating primary progressive multiple sclerosis with chronic pain syndrome. So I need a lot of rest; am occasionally bed-bound during serious exacerbations of the MS; and I need for my home to be a relaxed and calm place. I’m certainly willing to buy my cat-companion a big, fancy cat tree; a very comfy little bed (for when he doesn’t sleep on my bed); and all the toys and puzzles imaginable. And I *do* love playing games with my cat-companions. However, bc of the relentless, mordant neurological pain I feel all the time, there *are* real limitations on my ability to keep a cat mentally and physically stimulated *all the time*, and it sounds from your video as tho that is what the energetic, frenetic Siamese requires of its human… Would you recommend a Birman instead of a Siamese? A Birman is sort of like a Siamese cat with lower, more relaxed energy; the same intelligence; the same affectionate, devoted nature; and long hair with points. If I were to get a Birman, I’d want a blue-pointed one.

Siamese cats in general are very needy for attention and can be loud, but it also depends on the kitty itself. I know a few Siamese cats that are very quiet and calm and a few that are very loud and clingy! But any cat would need attention, care and love and it's best for you to do an extensive research so both you and your kitty are happy with their new companion! 💕💕💕 I hope you are well! 💕

My Siamese is very mischievous. She needs to play and for me to switch up what I play with her. She needs a variety of toys snd puzzle toys. If she doesn’t get enough play time she will purposely do something she knows I don’t want her to do to get my attention. I have to push her to try new things to keep her mentally stimulated and happy. She is a riot. Having a Siamese is like having a dog cuz she follows me around the house. Snd Siamese do learn words. They can learn a huge vocabulary. So when she cries at me I can run down a list of words she knows and when she responds with her ‘yes’ to the one she wants she gets so happy snd starts purring. Cuz she knows she will be getting what she wants......usually.....if it’s appropriate. Consistency is so important cuz they are like toddlers who will beg for a cookie instead of healthy food. She begs for her treats snd will hunt them down when she wants one. But I save treats for special things and use them for rewards for doing things she doesn’t like to do, like getting her nails clipped. That’s tamped down her begging but she still begs. Lol. They are very smart snd like a toddler know how to push your buttons. But you have to laugh at them for trying.

Exactly everything you said it applies to him! And I always ask him which toy he wants and he meows, purrs and sniffs my lips when I say the "right" one! And when he wants attention, he nibbles my fake plants or jumps in front of the TV! They are truly like dogs! They need lots of work and attention! Some facts you didn’t talk about! Where does it come from?: It’s come from Siam (now is Thailand). And another fact: The fur could change by the temperature. If too hot, the black color on them are gonna be gone, but if to cool, the black color on them will come up, slowly come up. And lastly fact: They could be aged 15-20 years old.
