I don't know were you got that information from, but I belive that it's actually wrong. When you play professor Von Yipp in the game, sometimes he says the name of the cat. Now, I'm a Brazilian and I can't even begin to try and make out how the name is supposed to be spelled. But it sure does not sound like "Von Yipp". Ps: He says something like "Peraphs we should pause *name of the cat*?" To which the cat replies with an angry meow.

Purrsuit of Perfection is my favorite card and deck to play. Every game will be different due to the 1 of cards and random spell generation. Plus with each expansion the deck can change and be updated. The worst feeling about the deck is when your Catastrophe is hit with Frostbite.

Another fun deck like Purrsuit is a Mind Meld deck. You cast a bunch of spells such as mushrooms and fill your board using Heimerdinger's small units. Then see the small units grow massive with mind meld and kill the opponent. Or go elusive to ensure direct damage. Fun fact, mushrooms activate plunder effects so adding plunder is good too.

Im glad you talked about the burn deck being a problem, its insane how I can play completely on curve, make favorable trades, and still die from like 9 dmg over the top on turn 5/6. Not enough nexus hp or healing for decks outside of shadow isles to verse them properly

I like that this is basically a more interesting Highlander deck. The payoff of the highlander format isn't as immediate, since you have to play 20 cards before you gain the effect. But because it's tied to your gameplay, and not your deck, it gives you more freedom to tech against certain threats or meta-games without compromising your win condition. It's slower, but more consistent, in a lot of ways.

Yes, almost every deck I face is burn. It's so frustrating to lose as early as turn 5 with no counterplays whatsoever. I just wanna enjoy my lux deck but I still lose so much ,even with three radiant guardian and shadow isle tech against them.😢 Really hope the devs do something about them soon, resting from LOR in the meantime.

I think boomcrew rookie needs a nerf, he puts way too much pressure so early in the game, also even if you block perfectly you can get killed by unavoidable damage (crimson disciple-demolitionist combo, legion grenadier etc.) add a few spells and you are already on critical low health

I would consider that Mystic Shot on the Eye of the Dragon to be the correct play, actually. If he hits face with it, the Eye spawns a two power lifesteal creature, which then gains you two right back. Killing the eye means you don't get the lifesteal, and ALSO removes the Eye from the board for future turns. If he had left it alive, you would have gotten at least two more dragons out of it, potentially putting you back in the game.

I pulled off an Accel Purrsuit in an Expedition last week. I got the card from a Back Alley Barkeep off a Plunder from my opponent's deck. My opponent allowed me to finish the game with the cat. It was AWESOME.

Just a suggestion: Back Alley Barkeep is also great for building Purrsuit of Perfection and Subpurrsible since it creates a random card in hand, and it's always random (I'm not sure if it would give you a champion, I would think not since I never got one before), from any region. It also creates more cards depending on how many Back Alley Barkeeps you have already played before. If you combine this with Counterfeit Copies, you could have an army of random cards in your hand. Also, following the Piltover/Zaun-Ionia deck featured, you could play more units. Maybe let go of some spells.

Honestly increasing the Nexus HP would be a really strong step towards the right direction. Loads of decks can just simply beat you for 20+ in a single turn regardless. Its not like the Nexus being increased would make games take that much longer. This is something I would love to hear Riot's opinion on personally.

If they made the burn Deck more dangerous for the player playing it would make it kinda fair :) like for example make boomcrew rookie Deal 1 DMG to your Nexus and 2 to the enemy.. Crimson deciple Deals dmg to your nexus aswell and so on! They would burn your nexus but would go Low aswell.. That way you can try to pressure them too or if you can gain health it would punish them more, cause they went low too! It also makes sense.. Its kinda like Kamikaze... They hurt you while playing a big price!

Hey Mogwai what you said in this video about BURN is the same you said about elusives a couple weeks ago. In this game there are a lot of strategies that can be abused but I think it's clear that Riot will fix them if they get out of hand, just like they basically killed Hecarim a few patches ago. If I'm not wrong elusives and bannerman are in a fine state right now. If they add 10 hp to the nexus then late game strategies will become the only ones viable, and the first 4 turns will become much less impactful than they are now. My proposal would be: what if you could ban a region before searching for a ranked game. Maybe now it's too soon but if they add 2 or 3 more would this be a good idea?

Hey Mogwai, have you considered running Purrsuit pf Purrfection with Bildgewater? Drawing your opponent's cards and stealing from their hand are interesting ways to play lot's of different cards. It can make the deck more reliable because of the sheer amount of cards you can play that generate new ones.

Its true, unless you are playing shadow isles you will be at disadvantage against burn decks, which is sad in my case because I barely play any shadow isles decks, and as soon as i go into a match vs a burn deck i know chances are Im going to lose :( 1 out of 3 matches I always go against burn decks, it just sucks

Ruination sucks sure but its a relatively late game card only being able to be played as early as turn 6 and your not doing anything after. Keep trying and if you get a feeling a SI player has it. Dont summon that turn. Just attack. If they use it thrn summon if they dont. you got free damage and hold off for a little longer. Always leave yourself with enough mana to summon post ruination. Come back to the PVP side mate. we miss you. Btw Im a Iona Damacia or Frejlord Damacia so....half the time i feel the pain.

problem with aggro decks is boomcrew rookie. He has 4 Health and deal 2 skill every time he attacks. meaning almost guarantees 4 damage nexus with 2 mana card. There isn't any 2 mana with 4 attack card to counter that in LoR. It will be nerfed in next patch I think. to 2-3. In case you don't know. Health is more important then attack in general. see: hecarim nerf

@@amaankarim2018 blockers aren't set until both players give priority for damage, since he killed the unit at burst speed ot was never in combat in the first place. If he had killed it with a fast spell, the spell would have happened after both players gave priority for combat but before damage happened like anything on the stack will, so the dragon would have dealt no damage.

I'm pretty sure it was because the spell he used to kill the blocker was a burst. So it was basically saying "kill unit, then put no blocker on" whereas if he did a fast spell, it would be "block with this unit, and before striking, kill it off".
