Ah we loved that whole section. We stayed at that restaurant where you had breaky before the little ferry! 🎉

Wow that’s crazy! Were you guys on a tour there?

My wife and I also loved this section and stayed in the hotel above the restaurant in June last year. We were heading in the opposite direction, starting in Istanbul but ending in Stockholm. Bringing back wonderful memories. Our biggest disappointment we now realise, is not noticing the rock sculpture of Decebalus. We stopped on route to admire the Iron Gates, but were not aware of the sculpture. Our fault in not doing the research. Love your videos!

I like all the small rooms a suites you find to rent... Helps to break up the camping nights...
@PursuingMountains10 ай бұрын
Yea, we stayed in those a lot more on the eastern part of our trip as there were less campgrounds and the guesthouses were very affordable.

Crazy to think you guys went that far..how cool to be out in open on bikes but man I'd have to rent a car 😅

Hey guys! Been awesome following along your trip so far. My partner and I are planning to do the same trip starting April 2025. It would be great to see a videos on your top tips for navigation and also a bike/equipment setup video.

Hi! That’s so awesome you plan to do the same trip! It’s such an adventure. Thanks for the feedback on videos you’d like to see. Once we finish the series we plan to do a handful of useful/tip videos and can cover those. Let us know if there’s anything else you think would be useful to know.

Awesome views! Liz's bike sounds like it needs a little TLC, but you've already mentioned that the lower gears don't work.

That road on the Serbian side along Danube was renovated recently, i think last year.

Super nice video! How do you find the places where you will be staying? Do you simply using Airbnb or do you use a different app for this stuff? And how far ahead do you plan where you will be stopping? Im starting my own Eurobiketrip starting next Wednesday and am mostly planning to stay at official campspots, but every once in a while some nice accomodation like the one you two stayed at will be much needed :D! Thanks! Jason

Hi Jason! That’s so exciting you are starting your own eurobiketrip soon 🙌🏼 Each day we usually had a tentative place we’d try to head to. But flexibility is key with a trip like this. We tried not to book them ahead of time. We stayed in mostly campgrounds in Western Europe but stayed in quite a few guesthouses in Eastern Europe as sometimes the cost was incredibly similar to campgrounds (and there were not many campgrounds). For the guesthouses we usually just looked on the booking app or Google maps but tried to book in person for a better rate. We hope you have a fabulous European biking adventure :)

You have maybe realised that biking on the Serbian side is better. Not only less traffic, especially big lorries, but ordinary people drive more carelessly on the other side.
@PursuingMountains10 ай бұрын
Yes. The biking is SO much better on the Serbian side for sure!

EV6 isn't developed here, there is a path there...tho nobody here can guarantee that the experience will be nice.
