The woofer’s magnet in the center channel might have had an influence too even if it’s shielded. So lifting the DAC with isolators above the source of magnetic interference might have helped also..

To say the least... you never place any audio component on a speaker.

quite a few people want that. I will look to do A/B after the review. all these videos are just keeping people up to date with how I am getting on as I have gotten a lot of messages asking me about the Qutest
@checkbox12346 жыл бұрын
Pursuit Perfect System understandable . I liked it when you did the blind test of the tt v the hugo 2 thst would be good to do with these 2 . I have a 2qute so watching with interest I didn't fancy the hugo 2 sound I felt it lacked the space and separation the 2qute gives so I assumed the qutest would be exactly the same just without a battery pack sound wise but your review has made me arrange s demo . So thanks for the videos good work

In an ideal world I would have access to all of it all the time to do it, but I dont sadly. I have to work with what I have at the time but it would be interesting to do the comparison and I will try, To be honest more important is how good is the Qutest - Dave is 5x the price is out of reach for most people inc me. I have no doubts it will be better than the Qutest you would expect it to be but if you get a strong essence of it with the Qutest for its price then its more than Happy Days

So which Anker Battery pack did you use please and do you intend to try other power items?
@PursuitPerfectSystem6 жыл бұрын
stephen mccue I am using one I already own but they are mostly all the same. higher capacity the better. I have put a link to one in the video description. yes I plan to test a linear power supply on its way and hopefully an alternative waiting on confirmation on that one

Is there a video to show how to install battery pack ,I’ve not got a clue where it goes, good video
@PursuitPerfectSystem6 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew you dont install it you just power the Qutest from it - you plug one end end of a usb cable into the Qutest the other end into the battery pack. The cable you need is a USB micro type A to a Type, This is a pretty standard cable with a lot of phones up until very recently where they have moved over to a USB Type C connection. I have just taken delivery of a Linear Power Supply for the Qutest and will be doing some videos on that as well. This is a more expensive solution but has its benefits - no charging for example and better SQ

hi tel. does the qutest decode HDCD discs
@PursuitPerfectSystem6 жыл бұрын
Matthew Todd not sure on that one
@vismantass6 жыл бұрын
for decoding hdcd you need chip with hdcd support. this is not software level job. hdcd is hardware decoder. foobar2000 has hdcd plugin, but this just imitates hdcd sound:) if you need good sound buy sonic frontiers sfd2 mk2 dac. and throw all chord dac to trash bin ;)

Your an audio reviewer and you hadn't done your 101's like levelling up your speakers from the wall? (actually, i never measure from the wall as the wall will always be out) it's bloody obvious, time alignment is going to be out. Half an inch out must have sounded like the music was all coming out of one channel, basically balance control.
@PursuitPerfectSystem5 жыл бұрын
It's not like they were grossly different maybe half a inch down to less than that but I agree it is a bit if a cardinal sin
