Thanks for watching my video, I hope you enjoyed it. One thing I forgot to say in my final thoughts was that Primare is now including Dirac Live with their Home Theatre products so if it could be added to the PRE35 Prisma then that of course would change things up again from the value perspective. That is why I said it gets confusing and becomes very much about what each individual values the most and why the modular approach seems the best to offer that. I of course value DL as I can do a lot with it 😎

Can't wait for your review of the SVS Ultra Evolution Titans! You have one of the better listening rooms amongst the Hifi reviewers out here and I really do appreciate your reviews. Keep it real as always and more power to you🙏🏼

Yes, yes, yes to the question. Why? 2 main reasons. 1) The freedom to mix and match with parts of the company or others. 2) When there is a failing/ defective section or part, just get the replacement without having to lose the unit for days in a repair shop (cost effective). These are my main reasons for my setups: pre-, power amp, external streamer, external dac and speakers. So from me: Yes!

I love how these look, probably my perfect aesthetic, if I had the money I definitely would consider these (tone controls wouldn’t go a miss, or Dirac could make me save more if this is something they can bring over?) Great video though Terry, always love how passionate you are.

Separate components were always the way to go. I really like the analog version pre- amp ...but id pare it with a teac 701 amp.

Thanks for a good review - any plans to review the KEF R11 Meta speakers? :)
@ivanfilatov79137 ай бұрын
I like that you say that R11 Meta have a " dry sound" while others said it's more detailed than Focal Aria Evo speakers...I've auditioned previous version of R11 Meta, and they didn't even come close to Focal sound, which is insanely detailed, spacious, airy, lively and expansive sound.

If you mean the non Meta R speakers they are different to the Meta, the non Meta were warmer sounding but at the expense of sounding open and clear at time. the new Meta I think are quite analytical because of how the bass is tuned. So your experience with them could be different Meta to Non Meta, to me they are very different speakers which has been a big surprise to me

@@PursuitPerfectSystem I've been considering the M66 and M23 for my next system. I eagerly await your review. Please try to consider this Primare preamp as a comparison for your video.

Great review! ... would you say that the Primare Pre/Power combo sounds like a big phat A/B amp, or is there still some distinct class-D-ness? ;) Cheers!
@PursuitPerfectSystem7 ай бұрын
I dont want to mislead you here, big fat is defo not what I would call it, but more full and punchy than you might think for class D so with a little bit of a "phat" of the sound to get that

I spent years doing sound demo videos. Half of them are now blocked by KZbin due to copyright and weeks of works has been wasted. It forced me to stop
@Jil88406 ай бұрын
@@PursuitPerfectSystem that's not good. But there are many you tube channels that do audio Tests.....!!!!!!! By the way, yes i have seen many of your videos, the sound test comparisons... !!!!
@PursuitPerfectSystem6 ай бұрын
Most of those channels have a different agenda - like they are dealers or manufacturers of kit - so maybe they feel like their time is well spent. It would take me 2 days of the week to do a sound demo, if I used the same music people complained so I was trying to find different music and then the video would be blocked. I made no money from any of those videos and it just wasn't feasible to keep doing so I had to bow down and concede.
@Jil88406 ай бұрын
@@PursuitPerfectSystem i really don't understand it. It seems that on you tube everyone can upload anything they want!!!! Like, they upload full albums or full films without a problem!!!!!!! They don't get blocked, do they???
@PursuitPerfectSystem6 ай бұрын
There are different licensing agreements clearly - I had videos be fine for years then all of a sudden get blocked. I cant dedicated time to something that might no be there in whatever time, its not worth it. I have had a number of people contact me and ask how I got around the system for my sound demo videos that are still up. I tell them I didn't sometimes I just got lucky. Maybe the channels that load full videos have the rights to them or pretend they do. I am easy to find and dont want to be sued by anyone.

Why don’t manufacturers include ARC/eARC with their digital connections? That causes me to look elsewhere.
@TrueAudio7 ай бұрын
we would never now purchase any system that did not include ARC/eARC with their connections

Which shows how HiFi is merging into AV and Home theatre for a lot of people without them really knowing it - its a very interesting development
