Yeah, they and others around them have confirmed that tapeworm was infact a thing. But nothing ended up coming from it for likely a multitude of reasons. We all know Trent and Maynard can be perfectionists and masters if their crafts. We also know Maynard has 1000 other side projects and ventures he’s always getting into. Additionally reznor started helping his wife out with how to destroy angels and working with Atticus Ross on movie scores and soundtracks. I read something a while ago that said the two of them never said it wouldn’t ever happen, but the chances of it happening any time soon are slim to none.

This song for me, strongly evokes a beautiful, yet melancholy feel to it magnified by the elegant musical arrangement and Maynard's delicate delivery of heartbreak and loss. This has Trent Reznor's stamp all over it from the beginning and the unique synth and arrangement style of his is just so recognizable. Great combination with MJK & Reznor. 🎹🎶🎤

This is such a great song; it's haunting yet beautiful and incredibly intoxicating to listen to. Most of Puscifer's songs have that effect on me and I attribute most of that to Maynard's vocal performances. He has a way of manipulating his voice when he sings, that pulls the listener in so that one feels the emotion he's attempting to convey. I know that isn't unique to Maynard, but he does its in a way that feels as if he is punching you in your soul. It is why I was immediately hooked on TOOL when I first heard them in '95 and one of the many reasons why I continue to listen to them 26 years later. Geebz, if you haven't already heard Maynard's 1997 live duet performance with Tori Amos where they sing "Muhammad, My Friend", I suggest you do when you have a few minutes. His ability to covey emotion is uncanny, in my humble opinion, and it is on full display in this short performance with her.

Keenan explained that it was a Tapeworm song, recorded by Puscifer as a "wedding gift" to Reznor."

This is an older Puscifer track, a classic, they have grown more and more into a full on band rather than a Maynard "solo project" , which it sort of started out as, each album they have released has been better than the last imo, they get pretty complex and very "musical". Please do more... there is too many great tracks to mention from Puscifer so I'll be happy with any track you choose but the one I think I'd recommend would be one of their heaviest tracks, The Arsonist. Congrats on the success of your channel. .

@@bradhariegle2475 Puscifer is becoming one of my favs, freaking Maynard, he is in 3 of my top 4 or 5 bands lol. Their latest is one of those that sounds catchy at first but there's so much too it that it can take a few repeated listens to really grab you. It's so synth-heavy with tasteful guitars very sparingly used, it's very different from music I normally listen to, and different even from anything Puscifer has done before but SO damn beautiful.. certain parts can bring chills and tears.. I still hear new things in the songs on that album with each listen, even after hearing it probably like 50 times, which is pretty much what all Maynard's music is like.

Don't worry about the oyster joke, my dad always referred to that as "coughing up lung butter" which is WAY more gross haha. As for the song details, I have no idea why it has a 'mix' name, this is the official version, but my guess is that it's because Puscifer often has different versions of their songs and will play different ones live which is really cool. And I'm pretty sure it is a banjo if I remember right from their concerts. It makes an appearance on a few songs from this album/EP/thing

Very Nice. With all the Tool and A Perfect Circle done, how about the band FAILURE, “Dirty Blue Balloons” would be Fantastic(from Fantastic Planet)

Hey! I dunno' if you take comment reccomendations, but... have you heard of "Failure"- the band? They have an album, "Comfort". TOOL-esque, really interesting sounds. I think maybe... "Macaque

A Perfect Circle actually covered Failure’s “The Nurse Who Loved Me” on their 13th Step album! I think it’s from Failure’s Fantastic Planet album.

This has been one of my favorite songs by them since I first heard it. I'd love to hear your take on MJK's rendition of Rocketman...or APC's rendition of Imagine, or What's Goin' On!!!

My favorite Puscifer song. Would you ever consider doing some hip hop? A lot of artists are doing amazing things with DJs these days

I'm 85% certain the last instrument playing is a dulcimer, although I think there is a banjo, *too*, earlier in the mix. My mom had a dulcimer when I was growing up (hello, hippy), and it's fairly distinctive once you've played with one.
