Everyone else is doing stress tests and you made the video of what I would do if I had a push 3. Straight into nature for music making. The Push 3 represents freedom from the stress of needing real estate to have a music studio. The potential!! I love that you can upgrade the parts.

Not only can you buy the upgrade if you get the controller version, you can actually upgrade the standalone processing power later down the road and it can last another 7 years. Incredible Ableton! Rachael your live sets are a staple and an inspiration for anyone who is looking to learn! Thanks a lot!

I would not be so optimistic. No arrangement mode, no VSTs, small screen like in Push 2 -- at price of nearly $2000? Hey, Ableton guys, did we wait for a half of decade for the gear like that? The answer is "No". It is just another "groove box" like NI Machine+ etc, nothing more (but Machine+ _can_ handle VSTs and Kontakt instruments/effects). The only great feature -- MPE pads, for all other it is way more practical (and cheaper) decision -- Push 2 ($300) + powerful computer or laptop (looks like the remaining $1700 will be enough for bold fresh Windows or Mac laptop).

​@@theMerzavetsTbh, I think you are a bit pessimistic. You have adat options, which makes it possible to add up to 8 mic pre's, vst3 isnt supported yet, but tbh, it's a software thing. So you don't know if they are still working on it. The problem with machine is that you simply can't edit it well in you computer. Setting up on you pc and then porting a live set to the push 3 is really nice.

@@jensnln I just want to say that Push 3 _is not_ an _Ableton Live killer,_ so it cannot be positioned as a _game changer in music production._ It is nothing more than the great groove box. TBH, until now Push 2 + laptop with all that carefully (or careless) selected VSTs is way more flexible and powerful decision than stand-alone Push 3 which don't even has Arrangement mode (i.e. I cannot fix my creative idea ever). Disappointment that costs a fortune.

one thing I am a bit skeptical about. Ableton claims that you can upgrade things. What then the socket of the cpu changes, which it often do, can it then be upgraded? xD maybe I miss something?

@@Albertjonas Until now you can buy even Pentium proc from late 1990s. There are plenty of old (but good) chips on the market. I suppose that number of Pushes 3 will unlikely to be in millions -- tens of thousand maybe. So the Ableton guys will be able to close the needs for their customers which want to upgrade the Push 3's hardware.
