Why do you have the guys assist on the movements when nearing failure. I mean I am gonna guess just to do more but doesn't that interfere with your log book? What you did vs what the last couple reps the spotter helped out with? Great content as always!

Great question. Typically I train alone so the assist never happens. However I don’t count a rep I can’t complete on my own. So the log book is still standardized. The slight assist will allow to fully take advantage of controlling the full range of the eccentric. It’s extra stimulus but there is a bit of fatigue cost to pay for that. We were having a bit of fun here too just pushing it more 😂

One question on the setup for the push down, is there particular reasoning on gripping the hall on the rope as opposed to the actual rope? is it just preference of feel or alignment?

Hi John, love your content and big support from Serbia. Just one question, how do you set up rest time periods between working sets? Also, when do you start using intensifier techniques while bulking? Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it! 🙂
@johnjewett7970 Жыл бұрын
Rest time has been autoregulated for a while. But it’s around 2-3 minutes rest between sets. Intensity techniques are added in on isolations once I see I am handling all the straight set work well and recovering. They get added on to isolation movements

Slight/low incline def works better for me on DB Pressing... i've seen Hany talk about keeping chin up/head back to open the chest and focus on 'filling the space' in the upper chest/clavicle... have you any feedback on this?

Noticed there is no direct front delt exercise in the split, you’re doing it in the other push day?

Some of the guys have overhead press on the other push day

@johnjewett7970 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think I will land that high in stage weight, but we shall see. Might be 220 this first year

Is Luke a competitive bodybuilder ?
@johnjewett7970 Жыл бұрын
Luke was, but last year made the decision to stop and go full-time into coaching only as that is his greatest pursuit.
