Today my harley decide not to start in the morning, so I have to push start it hopefully it work and I could take it to the dealership so they can figure out what is not working.
Unfortunately they tell me that they have a lot of work, so I won´t be able to ride for a week and a half at least.
Hope you like the video, please like, comment and subscribe.

You guys should be ashamed. I am age 60 and getting old and youre making me want to buy another harley again. In the late 80s and 90s I owned a 1977 1000cc shovel sportster and later in 1999 owned a 1980 superglide 1200 shovel. I live in Houston Texas which is similair to LA and rode mine to work often. As far as RPMs I was running at 70 mph I couldnt tell any difference between the sportster or the big twin at all. I thought they ran at way too high an RPM of 5500 at 70 mph and I even notched the rear sprocket down on the 1200 from a 54 tooth factory to a 48 tooth. I got rid of them both arouind 2002 because of that very reason. But if these 883s can run at 3000 rpm at 70 mph I am considering buying another. I understand since the EVO 1985 and up they have 5 gears instead of 4. But if I buy one Im going to run shotgun pipes, because even that 883 in the video is MUCH MORE beautiful and offers three times the sound with straight pipes. A lot of harley is being wasted with those baffled or muffler pipes.

Earl Guyton the shovelhead wasn't a 1000 it was a 1200 or 1340
@EarlGuyton425
@EarlGuyton425 7 жыл бұрын
A simple type up on bing or google will show you WRONG. The 1977 harrey sportster was a 1000 CC shovel head engine. Shovel was also offered in a 900 CC in the Harley sportster of the 1960s and was a SHOVEL engine. The shovel 1200 and 1340 was called the big twin shovel head
@seanuncur3995
@seanuncur3995 7 жыл бұрын
Earl Guyton the sportster engine was called an ironhead offered in 900 and 1000cc the ironhead had iron heads with aluminum cylinders, straight rods with 4 cams. The shovel head was a 1200 and later made a 1340 it had aluminum heads with iron cylinders. Crossed rods and one cam they are 2 completely different engines. A quick internet search will verify plus I work on Harley's so I know these things
@EarlGuyton425
@EarlGuyton425 7 жыл бұрын
Youre incorrect. The iron head phrase has nothing at all to do with what shovel head means. Shovel stands fro the valve cover rocker covers and a sportster 1000 CC shovel was a shovel head engine. It is also incorrect that aluminum heads were used because I have been around many sportsters over the course of my past and the shovel sportster used cast iron heads before the EVO. Any Harley engine of the past could have been called referenced as an iron head from the flat head to the knuckle head to the shovel head engines if they had cast iron heads, but the SHOVEL name is based totally on the rocker arm cover valve cover on top of the heads. Example....A 1977 sportser 1000CC is referenced as a 1000CC shovel head and is not referenced as iron head no more than a 1200 shovel could be called this as well if we label based on the metal of the heads. Also no shovel head sportster EVER used aluminum cylinders and Yes all sportsters even to the EVO to the CVO use 4 cams

You could have done a "Monza Push Start" at your house no need to walk so far. I know because I practiced the " Monza Start" many many times on my 1976 Triumph Bonneville. It is a kick start bike but I loved to do the old school racing start technique-push then jump on the seat and step on the gear shift and open the throttle. Be smart kid and never push it so far. Just three to five quick steps and jump into the seat and hit that shifter.
