To give more depth to the Jim Perdue line … Perdue just doesn’t sell “meats” specifically they sell CHICKEN aka they sell “Birds” . Perdue also is known for not injecting their birds with hormones meaning by comparison there’s is more “pure” . Push (much like Jay-Z) is hyper detailed in how he crafts his meanings, references and entendres . Fun fact: Jim Perdue also has a doctorate in Fisheries .. if you understand drugs you understand how that is a funny coincidence when it comes to Pusha and referencing “Jim” specifically by his government. In addition ,I’d like to point out that The Joker identity Push assumes throughout the album … I remind everyone that the Joker is an EXPERT CHEMIST .. I still have to stew on this album to see where it ranks in Push's discography (DAYTONA is a near masterpiece IMO) but I can definitely say that Push has ascended to legendary status in my eyes. The flows are effortless, the bars hit hard as fuck, the vocal intonations are always PERFECT. The ad libs are on point, the beat selection complement him. I mean, what else do you want from a hip hop album? EDIT: Just a thought, possibly a reach. That laughing ad lib that's all over the album really reminds me of a new interpretation of Conway's laughing adlib. Am I reaching? It's dope either way, but if it is (because I haven't heard that from Push before), Conway was right when he said "Lotta albums are suddenly startin' to feel a lil' more Griselda-esque" on Spurs 3. Legends inspiring legends is always good.
