Good video on this gun, there’s not many out there like you mentioned. I’ve had this gun for about 3 years and it’s never jammed on me and still works flawlessly! 🇺🇸

Another reviewer on here noticed his jammed too, he came to the conclusion that it was because he rode the trigger and when he took his finger off while reloading and pumping he didn't really have that issue.

looks fairly accurate, that pump look is great ! Nice job.

The Daisy /Winchester model 12 looks more like a 12 gage shotgun than a BB gun but that's cool.

Fro $19.90 and a 10% discount added on it will be alright for my 8 year old grandson to learn on. The maximum range is probably only 20 to 25 feet.

Thanks for sharing the video. I purchased one of the Winchester model 12s daisies a while back don’t care for it much too much plastic but mine has worked flawless. No jams average chronograph of 10 shots was 244 ft./s which is not too bad group size at 18 feet off of arrest was less than an inch and an eight not much money not much Gun but overall I’m satisfied with my purchase 👍🇺🇸🏁

Sorry to hear, yours jams. Had mine for more than 2 yrs. now & it has never jammed. It's accurate, specially in short distances.

Nice job! I really like the 100 foot tape. I'm astounded you could hit that can with that rifle at 56 feet, on the wide shot I had no idea where it was. The Model 12 is only current production trombone pump in Daisy's inventory, it is time to bring back the Model 107!
@blackbarrelcustoms37042 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I feel the current production lever line is falling way behind. So many great models gone, with what we have today solely riding along the respected Red Ryders back. Thank you 😊

I still have My Model 94 lever action. I have killed mice with lucky shots that did not just bounce off like some will do. On mice and rats indoors and out the safest most effective is a worn out or smooth bored 22 using the crimped end scatter shot loads. Daisy had a good thing with the bolt 22 that used cast pot metal and steel sleeves and stamped metal parts where necessary for strength. Once a nice prototype is made the rest would be easy to mass produce. Any somewhat hard wood like ash , properly stained is better than plastic. Plastic is too toy like. Might as well include a crank wheel with attached playing cards and a vinyl cowboy hat with a plastic gun.
@kevanhubbard96732 жыл бұрын
Pretty low velocity but to expected from that small amount of possible spring compression.Stronger strings would be hard to compress with a pump like that and you need a break barrel or side lever.

Just seen this gun for the first time. Discontinued? Hopefully they redesign it with wood and more metal. Love the look! Thanks for sharing.
@blackbarrelcustoms3704 Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if discontinued. But a metal variant would be wonderful! It would definitely be my go-to for around the house plinkin
@1776adb2 жыл бұрын
I only wish the manufacturer had placed a stronger spring in this and the Model 25. BB gun, yes, but it still would be nice to reach out a little farther.

I may have a detailed breakdown video coming on this model, with internal upgraded. So stay tuned partner

Wouldn't it have been nice if they made what would have essentially been a short stroke M25 that looked like a Winchester, wood stocks and metal?
@blackbarrelcustoms37042 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a sweet rig. I feel a metal body should had been implemented in this one. Especially carrying the Winchester name. The whole build makes 0 sense. Double the price of a RR, and all for plastic inside and out......😒
@Backin_Theday2 жыл бұрын
@@blackbarrelcustoms3704 If it was plastic made by Glock, it might not be too bad. I purchased a Winchester 1911 direct from Daisy early last year, when they were having a sale and free shipping. Its pretty much all metal except the barrel over sleeve, magazine and grip panels. Interestingly it is made in Japan. I thought that is interesting because Winchester in owned by Browning who makes their rifles in Miroko Japan. If you order their high end Safari grade you can still get a Browning made in Belgium.

Nice in dept look at this BB rifle! The model 25 looks like a better design to me
@blackbarrelcustoms37042 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Yeah I'd take the #25 all day. The cocking effort isn't even in the same category. Where the #25 is buttery smooth and soft.

Sir I have a daisy model 1105 let's just say I wanted to change the plunger assembly can I put a plunger assembly from a red ryder model 1938 b
@blackbarrelcustoms37042 жыл бұрын
From what I have gathered, yes you can. The body seems to be a duplicate to the buck 105b, aside from the removable shot tube. Likely related to the model 25 maybe shorter.

I enjoyed the video, but as far as the gun is concerned, that would be a “no” ! As an adult, a lot of the fun messing with Daisys is ability to customize and refine (ok, tinker, there I said it) and I just don’t get that vibe with this one…Love to see someone try to fire-blue this 🤣
@blackbarrelcustoms37042 жыл бұрын
If I could give a positive towards the #12 . I would say that it is definitely the best shouldering bb gun on the wall. They definitely got the shouldering proper. They kept it a ribbed, flat bottom. That's something I feel the whole line up could benefit from. Instead of the rounded over buttplates of today. I gotta say I'd love to see a fire blue attempt as well 👍😆

the best daisy winchester was the 1894 but daisy stopped production .daisy is really a lame company after 100 years every red ryder continues to misfire the gun is flawed after a hundred years they still put out that junk and dont fix it you see guys modify them to shoot harder better whats daisies excuse none they suck and they refuse to release any spittin image guns they only care about the lame duck red ryder the worst daisy gun ,daisy fan boys boo hoo cry all you want so what red ryder sells trillions its flawed and trillions are followers not leaders
@billiewright75322 жыл бұрын
That thing didn't impress me at all. There's other cheap BB guns that are better made with higher velocity. And with all BB guns they just aren't very accurate.

Jonathan, great video! My videos pretty basic, but fix work it thankless most of the time. My channel isn't for profit, just charity. Just trying to pitch in and be a mechanic. You, Cobalt327, and RESOMOD are hotrod guys. Yeah, I'm not sure about the future of the Model 12, and hesitate to heavily endorse it. The plastic connector snapped on my first one. The 1st gen was surprising good with marksman BBs. It actually died from a BREECH jam and broke the connector using standard Daisy BBs The 2nd Model 12 had SAME issues as yours and the rear sight screw is like a CHOKE. I tightened it all the way and it wouldn't shoot at all! Marksman became no go! Slightly loose screw, so the gun feeds. I haven't had and further feed jams. Umarex zinc and Avanti for me. My 12 does best quick shooting at about 7 yards, some Kentucky windage to the left. Thanks for shout out, and I'll make sure to mention your fine work and videos on my next video!

I'm all about helping each other and having a good time. You mentioned KY. I'm just across the Ohio River. Maybe in the future, I could snag a rental worth snaggin' we can high tail it south to raise some Georgia cane with good ol' Shane Bruce, that would make for an epic time time be had! Really enjoy your content as well. My taste falls into building custom Daisy Long rifles. Just a love for it and sharing alot along the way when possible.
