It's not. Everyone of these on air commentators and politicians are crying about antisemitism while completely ignoring what Israel has done and is doing to Palestinians. They're blown away by the large numbers of Americans who are aware of the genocide and are making a full-court press to fight the overt expression of the anger people rightfully feel for the plight of the Palestinians. I'm NOT antisemitic, but I sure am against what the Israeli governement has been doing and especially what Bibi has done recently to double down on the destruction, killings and theft of land of the Palestinian people. This makes me despise the Jewish lifestyle which is being shoved down our throats while they're literally committing genocide in Gaza. I figure that the Israelis KNEW what Hamas was planning, since they "ignored" the repeated warning about it, just so they could be "justified" in waging the horrors they're now committing. Meanwhile they're calling out everyone who doesn't stand aside or indeed support the slaughter of a people in the name of destroying Hamas. Disgusting.

The thing you need to understand is that at all times, Israel is facing the imminent threat of extermination, so that whatever they may do, even it if appears to be abusive, illegal, and overly violent, is only done to protect their people against genocide. So that any criticism of anything that they might do, you are actually advocating for the eradication of the Israeli state, even if you don't realize it yourself.

2005 Gaza was handed over to the Palestinian people. They elected Hamas into their government without a care in the world. About 20 years of digging tunnels under the city and most notably hospitals and schools should tell you something about Hamas and the people. They turned a blind eye and let it happen. The problem with this debate is that they failed to say that most people in these protests are Jewish from Jewish voice for peace, and black progressives organizations. How many of these people called for genocide? Are they going get all these people out of the universities? Well ain't it always the same when it comes to pretty much any movement? There's always cliques of people in every movement advocating for some extreme position and every single counter movement or opposition will only focus on those few people. Which also cause more fear then what's reasonable, saying that x-thousands attend a pro-terrorism protests make the threat level seem immense... Sure there might be some who advocate for violence and it should be taken seriously, but it's not everyone and the threat level haven't really increased by massive proportions. As when it comes to universities, well usually they don't teach anyone hands on they just hand out materials and you form your own opinions... and since the documents have been declassified(primarily the British ones) the narratives Israel have been pushing for many decades no longer fit, unless you are so biased that you refuse to draw other conclusions. That's why we see this generational gap, younger generations have access to more, previously classified information... which changes the context of the conflict. Not to mention there's massive differences in how young people view the world compared to those who grew up closer to the end of WW2 and during the war on terror.
