@@smithworx1091 that carrier bearing does look like it's mounted to far back. It could be the angle of the drive shaft or even the wrong drive shaft. There's no telling what was done to that truck before you got it.

Maybe one day you can have a hand full of employees that make little mistake. The mek was NOT stuck. He didnt turn the lockers on. I locoed the axles and it almost backed out on its own. Thanks for all that help.

Haha thanks buddy. Rook called me after that and was mad his guys didn't let me get the mek unstuck. He showed up about 9pm that night to get the dump trailer out and got his chip truck stuck. I finally had to go out there and drag it and the dump trailer out. That 3500 can pull.

There was a haul truck down here that I almost called you about. It was 26 ton 6x Volvo for 5k. Only 4,500 some hours on it but the tires were done and some damage to the cab, it looked like just cosmetic damage and broken windows. It was on marketplace for a few hours before it sold. I was in no condition to go look at it but for a deal like that I would have if you were interested.

@@smithworx1091 Yeah I’m thinking the guy was retiring and was just ready to be done with anything work related. Tires would be around 6k I’m guessing and maybe another 4k-6k for other maintenance and glass for the cab. That would be 15k -17k, figure maybe 20k all in to get back to your shop and ready for work. Most of the ones I’ve seen start around twice that. Deals like that aren’t uncommon down here with all kinds of stuff, you just need to be ready to jump on them immediately.

Have Jimmy take a wire wheel to the bed and polish it up some. It’s not as good as putting a new liner down but it usually helps a good bit.

Thanks for that. I was wondering if something like that would help. Seems like if I can just get the dirt to slide it would slick the bed up but it's too far gone as it is.

@@smithworx1091 Welcome. You’re exactly right, once you get it slicked up it should stay like that. Pressure washing it first usually helps, it’ll go quicker with the wire wheel. If was to do one now I’d try the wire wheels for the weed eaters, not sure how good they would work or how many it would take. It’s not fun sitting and being on hands and knees for hours running a 6 inch grinder.

@@smithworx1091 Amazon has a bunch of options. The wire wheels do great cleaning sidewalks and driveways so I’m thinking a steel bed shouldn’t be a problem, plus you can get a larger diameter wire wheel so maybe it won’t take as long
