Cause Nick at 1st was only a Canadian Channel til Viacom/Paramount bought the Channel in hopes to have a Channel to Compete w/ Disney as Disney back then was more so a Pay Channel as there was no Kids Channel on Cable/Sat Service for Kids on the Free or low Cable Tiered part til Nick then Disney saw that and changed it where both Disney and Nick were apart of every Expanded Lineup together for Kids. As there's been alot of Great Shows that came or aired on Nick but htere imho has been only that has ROT Kids brains and that's Spongebob Squarepants as that show is Killing kids' Brains and should be banned.

Whoever was in charge in making that decision to remove the message boards on IMDB should know they are a very disliked person. Website's not been the same without them.

Oh man, old Nick stuff pushes all of my buttons. Here's a random thing: Mysterious Cities of Gold (which ran on Nickelodeon early in the morning in the 80s) was a French show animated in Japan and translated into English. 30 years after the original season a season 2 was released and it's better than the original run. There's also a season 3, but it hasn't been translated into English, yet.

i remember hey dude, but it was similar to salute your shorts. if i had a pick, i prefer a dude ranch over a summer camp ^^;; i like horses and the landscape. Both shows got me wanting to go to a summer camp, which i ended up going to one. It was a fun experience and went a few summers. My last summer was sad as it had a lot of controversy with girls finding a dead body in the woods while we did a rest room stop. And we come to find out the camp director had child porn on his computer :( nothing of the campers, but was still sad to hear.

I'm not making fun of this or anything, but what you just described seriously sounds like it could part of the plot for one of the Sleepaway camp horror movie sequels.
