how do you tie rubber band on the back axel to make it reverse ?

Tie it on the axle before you put the axle through the car and then put the wheels on. If you are specifically looking for cars that go forwards and backwards, I have several in this playlist - Carrying Dropping Pushing Pulling Stopping playlist kzbin.info/aero/PLA5a2xPRSrB04L6RpUAs5akmK3jqmahPL

@@Putarubberbandonitthank you!! i’ve done that but my rubber band does not recoil in the opposite direction once i let go, what did i do wrong?
@Putarubberbandonit Жыл бұрын
It will only reverse if it builds up enough momentum going forwards to wind up the band again. I explain this in the video. Maybe try a different band like I showed from about 04:46 This video is just to show what happens if you tie the band onto the axle, because normally that is the WRONG thing to do if you want the car to travel a distance. If you actually want a car that goes forwards and backwards predictably then this is NOT the car you are looking for. Like I said in the previous reply, there are designs to do that in the playlist I linked to. This one is a good example kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2bdkqarlpyEhtE @@ameliafranz-w2h

Have you ever done one of these with a spring instead of a rubber band? Just for the fun of it.

I have done spring powered cars, but I haven't tried this application. It would be very much an issue of finding a suitable spring, but with the right spring you would get the same effect. I will think about it.

Done the spring version, but you will have to wait until the 28th before you get to see it 😁 As it is spring powered, it will be on my main channel.
