After baking, remove from oven and cut into cubes. Fill crock pot with 3 cups of tomato sauce and one cup of buttermilk. Add the meat, then add one can of sardines and one can of mackerel. Set to medium and cook for 3 hours. Add hot sauce and soy sauce to taste, then, throw it out the back door.

honestly 1 min boil will not remove the beefiness so much. It, however, can remove some freezer smells if the steak has been stored a long time or not properly cleaned. This is especially true for bone-in cuts, cleaning the meat first this way will make a different taste profile that is not necessarily bad. However I would would sear the steak right after....

No 5-star steakhouse would ever boil a steak. Any reputable chef would kick out whoever was at the meat station who did this as boiling meat removes a lot of its flavour. You pan sear it to seal in the flavour and then finish it in the oven or you cook it over a grill to develop a nice crust.

I'm watching this in amazement from the village of Bexley in London. I am aghast at the sacrilege you just committed on two perfectly adequate steaks. A good grind of sea salt, a grind of black pepper, heat some light olive oil in a good cast iron grill pan and sear each side for one minute, repeat, turn the hob down and for a 16oz steak cook for about 5 minutes each side until a crust has formed, remove from the heat, place on a warmed plate cover with foil (shiny side down), rest for 10 minutes, slice and eat. There, fixed it for you.

As a former manager of a steakhouse, this is a crime against humanity. Escoffier is rolling over in his grave. Part of the science behind developing flavor while cooking a steak is the searing process which enables the Maillard reaction. During this time, amino acids and reducing sugars create melanoidins. These compounds create the fond, giving food it's distinctive flavor. I agree with some of the posters who are from the "cook it however you want to" school of thought. But from a professional viewpoint, it's best to sear both sides in a hot pan with some fresh herbs, baste in butter and let it rest before serving.

@@Leonidas037 ~I may seem funny to you, but I boil beef steaks in salted water on a regular basis, I’m in my 60s years old, it works very good, tastes good, works perfectly fine, and I’m not going to change just to please other peoples false fantasy world perceptions like you have. All the person really needs about half an inch to 1” inch of water in a stainless-steel pot with a lid to “boil steam” the beef steaks. It only takes about 5 minutes, very quick, does not stick, and it taste great. Use the water for a gravy, soup, or drink it.

Clearly someone doesn't know how to treat a bone in ribeye. Sea salt, fresh ground pepper and a good fire are all you need. Rare to medium rare, anything more get a porterhouse or a chuck eye.
