One thing all these cooking videos make is the following. If you have to cut up anything, only show how you do the last one. Then the writing in the left hand corner are dissapearing to fast. Keep it there until you start on something els. Only then change.

Looks great and I'll probably do it this weekend. Bit salt heavy though; I think I'd leave out the second dose on the beef, and not salt the onions at all. Let the recipient decide if they want that extra seasoning. I'd also use a hearty red or Guinness for liquid.

If you go to a proper butcher, ask for a piece of the shoulder or neck. This is tender meat with the right amount of fat in it. Very lean meat will get too chewy, whereas very fat meat will still have unpleasant fatty chuncks. Make sure to look up a the Belgian beef stew known as 'Stoverij'. It's a similar recipe to this, but with beer instead of cream :-) Also serve with Belgian Fries and mayonaise!

I do find it funny that we are shown, always at great length, the cook slicing an onion, then a carrot etc. Frankly, if you can't do that kind of thing, you should not be allowed within a mile of a kitchen. It's not exaclty riveting viewing. How about showing us the cook first going shopping for the meat, onion, carrot etc, then choosing which frying pan to use, which knife etc. I mean who knows, we might learn valuable cookery lessons.

Perhaps you should up your dose of ADHD meds. Given your lack of patience, One might assume that you can’t focus for long periods of time, which is certainly related to a neurodivergent brain. Some people might not actually understand that you need to brown all sides of the meat and then deglaze with butter and red onion. If, you are so culinarily advanced, perhaps this is too low brow for you. Might I suggest watching Alexander the Guest. It is a phenomenal channel. He honestly critiques all kinds of high-end dining experiences. His most recent is reviewing three Michelin star restaurants, brilliant! Personally, I’m more than happy to either skip ahead or let the video play and support the guy who is putting his work out here on KZbin .

Relax and enjoy the video. You might be a great chef and know all that you think needs to be known. However the Novice might pick up a trick or two or see methods better than they know. The video is for everyone. If you dont like it. Or dont agree, many others might. If you dont watch it. If your just inpaitent I get it but dont speak for everyone. Just relax and let the small stuff go. Life is to short as it is so dont take from those who want to see all of the video.
