Puthur Jayaram Prawns Tawa Fry Recipe:
Oil - 2 tbsp
Prawns - 400 grams
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
Salt - ¼ tsp
Black Pepper Powder - ½ tsp
Curry Leaves - 1 Sprig
Onion Tomato Mixture:
Oil - 2 tbsp
Onion (sliced) - 2 nos
Tomatoes (sliced) - 2 nos
Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - ½ tsp
Coriander Leaves - For Garnish
Cooking Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan, add the onions and saute till it turns translucent
2. Add the tomatoes and masala powders and saute till the raw aroma of the masalas is one and the tomatoes are soft and mashy.
Keep the onion tomato mixture aside.
3. Heat up a tawa, add the prawns and cook it dry till all the water it lets out has evaporated
4. Push the prawns to the side, add oil, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder.
5. Mix it till it combines with the oil and mix the prawns along with it for 2 minutes.
6. Add the onion tomato mixture and mix till it all combines evenly.
7. Add salt, black pepper and coriander leaves and mix till it combines evenly.
Serve it hot with rice.
