The former Austrian foreign minister Karin Kneissl, who hit the headlines when she danced with Vladimir Putin at her wedding in 2018, has moved to Russia.
In an interview, Ms Kneissl claimed that “political pressure” had forced her out of Austria and described President Putin as “the most intelligent gentleman".
It comes as this month European Union leaders are set to discuss imposing additional restrictions on Russia over the war in Ukraine, in what would be a twelfth round of sanctions.

I am one of them. She speaks 7 languages, did you know that? Of what I am not proud is how much our politicians and media are bought by Washington despite calling themselves a independent state. Austria lost that in the 90's. Now we are a b*tch to the US Empire like Germany. Karin was the old school intellectual politician with actual very long time accumulated knowledge in history and politics, that found out how terrible you get attacked by the school bullies running our country in the ground right now, when you are that smart. I admired her behaviour in the politic field and the party she was under was right wing, but she was not! She was the dream diplomat at the time of rupture between west and east again. Austria was just allready too brainwashed by the West Propaganda to entirely accept her greatness. Now Russia will benefit by having a politics teacher like her.

Mainstream media nowadays are like actors. They get their script what to say or not and they get paid by the corporations that are interested to push their narative. But it has gotten too dangerous for society after they took over almost all the political scene in the world in Covid plandemic times. Now we are not controlled by politicians but politicians are controlled by investment companies (by lobbying) that are the biggest alliances in the world like BlackRock, Vanguard, State street and Im sure they control WEF and politicians.

That is the problem when you make a wild claims that you can't backup. Like "Gentleman doesn't never start a war" or "Gentleman doesn't participate in war". That was BBC argument as trying to slash back her opinion about Putin being gentleman. And she just used that opportunity that if definition of gentleman is as claimed, then what is Tony Blair, George W Bush, Obama, Biden etc that has started many wars, including the Ukraine? The BBC should never have made a claim that X can't be Y, same as with the "Ukraine war was what turned the world upside down", as that nothing else did so. The BBC should hire a better reporter that wouldn't be pushing agendas on the interviewed. This wasn't even such shameful to watch as Megyn Kelly to interview Vladimir Putin... That was like torture for couple hours how Megyn burned by her own accusations and couldn't just stop...

Is K Kneissl obliged to have an opinion on every one? If so is she meant to spend her days scanning Russian courts websites searching for similar cases? On what premise? Only Russian ones? @@user-pv8ix6yg8u I don't think it is that she either doesn't know things about [it] (though surely she won't know about everything that happens domestically in Russia nor would she domestically in her homeland), but rather that he is projecting onto her as needing to take responsibility either for these actions, that indeed, do not concern her, or to condemn these actions, when in fact, she is not in a place to condemn it. What she does, however, rather skillfully, is redirecting and questioning the objective by stating that in her own country, the country she loyally worked for, she was being ostracised and scrutinised over these same projections that in reality do not hold any ground. THAT indeed concern her, not just personally, but also in light of not being given her rights, which is concerning for democracies that claim to be freedom of everything. I'm sure that if one would investigate "her case" (which likely doesn't even exist unless you create one based on the narratives presented by the interviewer) that there is nothing to prove except for these projections of what people want to make her out to be. She simply has an informed opinion on how she views President Putin based on her experiences and is openly positive in these views, which is not in favour of many. Her statements of "what do I have to do with it" and the likes were to not fall trap to the maze of public opinion he wants to put her in. She isn't about it.

He withdrew the army from Afghanistan because he was ready to provoke the war in Ukraine. Now he is withdrawing /indeed, abandoning Ukraine after killing over 300 thousands young Ukrainian men there/. Even if he is shouting let’s continue helping Ukraine he is now fighting in Israel and totally focused there. His ultimate dream is to provoke Iran, so that to have a legitimate excuse to destroy that country now! 😢

The standard western media characterization of that conflict as "Putin's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine" as contrasted to the more accurate description of the "Russian military response to the expansion of NATO to Russia's borders" is never discussed. @@mortenrobinson5421 No, the concept of interview includes that if interviewed asks a question, it will be answered. You claim that the interviewed may not ask questions from interviewer to elloborate or explain the claims that the interviewer makes about interviewed or the topic. Reporting is one direction. Where reporter doesn't ask questions or intervene what is happening. Their task is just to be there, witness and report what they witnessed honestly and evidentially. Interviews are discussions and conversation. Where both sides can ask questions and answers to them. When you go to job interview, you have the same way right to ask questions from employer as they have from you as an applicant to job. Interviews are formal meetings where both parties are to talk about specific subject. The other is being used as source for information, where other needs to provide the construction to subject - why specific individual is asked for interview.

@paristo
@paristo 5 ай бұрын
@@mortenrobinson5421 That is exactly the concept of the interview. The whole point of the interview is to have a discussion, two way communication where both sides can ask and answer to questions, if asked. You do not accept that the BBC is the hostile where they want interviewed to share the political views of the BBS and have that way the authority to define what are opinions of others. When she doesn't fall for that, you call that she is evasive. Like can you explain what would be a provoked reason for Russia to attack Ukraine? What is such a case that you would use "Russia was provoked"? As if you think that the Russian action was "unprovoked" then you can tell exactly what would have been "provoked" one. And can you explain when is a official request from a another country to defend it become a invasion? BBC reporter is literally blaming her for actions of Russia because she is living in Russia. Making the claim that anyone who lives in Russia, is sharing the responsibilities of the Russia government and is sharing the same blame that BBC tell. That there is no difference what so ever is there one small incident or is there no incident at all, just living in Russia is root for blame. You do not accept that BBC reporter made a claim, that Ukraine war has turned the world up side down. She said that Ukraine war isn't the one that turned world up side down, it was Iraq that did it. If you do not accept her view and opinion with her decades experience about the subject, then what is the problem? Don't you accept that Interviewer shouldn't dictate the world views on to interviewed? Opinions that the interviewed should agree and accept as the interviewer is telling so? Why don't you accept that when the interviewer doesn't agree and accept the claimed things, that he has right to direct that what is in his opinion and knowledge? In your opinion, what does her experience and opinion differ for someone breaking laws nearby grocery store? Is She a responsible for the actions of that individual in Russia or the Russian government? Should she feel oppressed and feel her academic research freedom being denied/limited because of such criminal event? And in your opinion, why is a BBC so aggressively pushing the whole concept that it is morally and diplomatically totally wrong that a foreign country president visited a another country prime minister wedding? And do you agree that gentleman would never attack to another country? Is that definition in your opinion as what "gentleman" means? And in your opinion, is she responsible or any means authoritative to solve or even influence the Russia-Ukraine conflict? How is her presence in Russia as a researcher for political arena as a legitimization for Russia foreign politics?

Well, as she said, she is now living in a country where she has more academic freedoms for political science than she had previously.... People are really upset about Ukraine with some their claims, but then they are totally silent about what USA has done last 80 years... Not to mention what Great Britain and France has done... It is still amazing to see people who totally are thinking that USA found WMD in Iraq and saved the world, and it was Russia that started Syria war and Russia supported the WTC strikes and that's why USA needs to defeat the Russia. Not just those who want to be silent about those previous events...

Russia must stop comparing itself to USA. USA is a super power. Russia is anything but. Russia is cheap gas station which can not stand its time of glory s over. All Russians have left is their whataboutism. That is pathetic. @@paristo

Its highly irritating that British have taken this highly righteous role upon themselves as the judges of world conflicts, considering that they have a very dubious past and very dodgy reputation after Iraq war. With their past and their involvement in so many countries, they should keep quiet and stick to their own problems, rather than pretend they still have any weight in the world arena.

I like how when the talking heads at BBC bring up "Russian invasion of Ukraine" they always must throw in a bunch of qualifiers like "illegal and unprovoked attack on a European country". The assumption being that US and NATO led invasions of primarily non-European (except Yugoslavia) countries populated by dark-skinned peoples were of course perfectly "legal" and somehow "provoked".

@@the0ne809 you are brainless and terminally misinformed if you believe anything she said was wrong. The BBC reporter, on the other hand, made statements that were patently false, such repeating BBCs ad nauseum false punchline of "Russia's unprovoked invasion of ukraine". Of course Russia's invasion of Ukraine was not only provoked but heavily provoked by NATO's arming of what was (prior to this war)the second biggest military in europe with the expressed intent of attacking russia, as stated by Zelensky in March 2021 when he ordered the build up of ukrainian forces in the south of ukraine to retake crimea (part of russia) by force. It was also provoked by Ukraine reneging on their commitments under the Minsk accords (which Merkel and Hollande have since stated were only there to deceive and stall Russia for Ukraine to build up lethal forces) to allow greater autonomy to the people of the donbas. It was also provoked by the slaughter of over 14,000 people in the Donbas prior to the invasion, 81% of which deaths were ethnic russian according to the UNs stats on that conflict. Putin showed himself not only to be a great leader but was instantly vindicated for the decision to invade when NATO instantly played their true hand in trying to starve the russian people into submission, highlighting why they can not be allowed to control russia's key supply lines through crimea.
