Bro, why are you doing fundraiser for yourself to go to Ukraine? This is my choice and if you could look from the outside in, you would realize this doesn’t look good. You say journalism costs money. This is true but this is just like any other business. You put skin in the game and the return comes from your hard work. I can’t imagine any journalists or media company telling viewers and supporters saying they will provide “great journalism” if they pay for it. This is not hate.. I do appreciate the information you provide. Just hoping you could see this is a little cringe. You take the risk, put in the hard work, put your work together through production. Present your work, then allow us to reward for your “hard hitting, on the ground journalism”.

Even the US president holds fundraising events to pay for campaigns. Highlighting Ukrainian people, in Ukraine is very important to them. People need to see Ukraine from a normal person perspective to connect to their cause. Also, it's up to Andrews supporters where and on what they spend their money. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to contribute. I had no idea that Andrew had used his savings to self-fund his way to Ukraine multiple times last year. All the hours of videos and live chats that he made were fantastic and we got to go along with him. I appreciate Andrew willing to go to Ukraine, to bring us the latest news, views and topics. A lot of media companies and journalists are depending on donations from their viewers, that is what allows them to be independent. I support a media company in my country every month for several years now and it's absolutely worth it. And whenever I'm able, I'd like to do it even more. Also Andrew’s trip has the important element of the delivery of NAFO 69th trucks, which we’ve funded. More than happy to donate to fund the delivery, which is no mean feat, a lengthy drive. ❤ I’m shocked that Andrew has been self funding, at £5k a pop I feel he has more than contributed to this and shouldn’t have to keep self funding. I understand the optic, but feel it’s at a superficial level, which I again understand if a viewer hasn’t got all the details and understanding, but anyone donating to fund Andrew’s trip knows what their funding, even if they don’t have all the info as Andrew is always transparent and open. Hope this makes sense, not a criticism, just an explanation 🥰
